Customers say: Quick response

"My wife and I run a residential architecture and interior design firm, and Brad and the Southern Magnolia team are among the very best contractors we’ve worked with. For larger, more complex renovations, they are one of the few firms we recommend without hesitation. Great renovations succeed or fail in the execution, and Brad consistently delivers. His projects are well run, high quality, and typically on time and on budget. Just as important, Brad is exceptionally honest, straightforward, and reliable. In my 35 years working on high-end, design-driven projects, his team stands out as one of the best. We recommend Southern Magnolia without reservation."

"My wife and I decided to remodel our master bathroom after we found it hard to access our shower. After consulting with neighbors who had recently gone through the same process, we searched for a company we could trust with the remodel. We selected Beal Construction Company and awarded them the contract. Eric, Brian, and Jeff were courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable and exceeded our expectations. Using their experience, they were able to guide us through the rebuild process suggesting ideas which resulted in a new bathroom that not only met our needs but provides a wow factor with the finished project. We give BealConstruction Company a five star review and will be recommending them to friends and family."

"Beaver Home Renovations were a pleasure to work with and did a superb job at a very fair price. They were respectful, timely, and did excellent work in an expedient manner. They were flexible and accommodated additional requests that we made as the project progressed. They also point out ideas that could improve the project, as well as suggested cost saving measures. We will hire them for all future renovations and home improvements we have."

"The contractor contacted us through Angi's List and represented himself as honest, reliable, and communicative. We explained upfront that we had recently experienced serious issues with a broker and movers and were specifically seeking a professional contractor to avoid further problems. The contractor visited the property to review the scope of work. A second visit occurred with another individual who took measurements and advised on project timing. We entered into a contract with an agreed-upon completion timeframe of approximately 5 6 weeks. Shortly after work began, communication became inconsistent. The contractor represented that materials had been ordered for the project. We later confirmed this was not true. Despite repeated written requests, the contractor failed to provide clear updates, timelines, or proof that materials had been purchased. The contractual completion deadline passed with substantial work incomplete. Workers left the property and removed their tools, creating the appearance that the job had been abandoned. No clear explanation or written plan was provided regarding when or how work would resume. Worker Nonpayment Escalation. We were contacted directly by the contractor's workers, who stated they had not been paid and that a $2,000 check issued to them had bounced. This raised serious concerns about professionalism, reliability, and potential risk to us as homeowners. At no point did the contractor adequately address these concerns in writing. Concerns Regarding Specific Worker (Luis) Luis, who had previously performed electrical work, behaved in an unprofessional manner. We made clear that we do not consent to Luis performing any further work on our property in any capacity. Despite this, the contractor attempted to reassign him to complete the remaining work without our approval. Final Communication and Termination After a continued lack of response, misrepresentations regarding materials, missed deadlines, and worker nonpayment issues, trust was irreparably broken. We issued written notice terminating the contract, revoking access to the property, and requesting an accounting of payments, work completed, and materials purchased. All further communication was requested to be in writing only. Summary The contractor failed to meet contractual obligations, misrepresented material purchases, ignored written communications, and allowed the project to stall. Worker nonpayment and bounced checks created additional risk and instability. Due to these cumulative issues, termination of the contract was necessary and justified. The contractor visited the property twice, took measurements, and we entered into a contract with a 5 6 week completion timeline. Soon after work began, communication became inconsistent. The contractor stated that materials had been ordered; we later confirmed this was not true. Despite multiple written requests, he failed to provide clear updates, timelines, or proof of material purchases. The agreed completion deadline passed with significant work unfinished. Workers left the property and removed their tools, giving the appearance that the job had been abandoned. No clear written plan was provided for resuming or completing the work. Due to misrepresentation regarding materials, lack of written documentation, missed deadlines, repeated payment requests without transparency, worker nonpayment issues, and an overall breakdown of trust, we terminated the contract in writing and revoked access to our property. We are seeking accountability, reimbursement for payments made for incomplete work, and appropriate action to help prevent similar experiences for other homeowners. "

"If you never read another review, read mine!! Not only has Tony & his fantastic crew done so much professional, exquisite work for me at my own home, they have also done work for my extended family. Total home renovations top to bottom with excellent communication and accountability along the way! I’m not new to renovations due to my professional background as a large loss insurance property adjuster. I’ve referred MANY friends and acquaintances to Dalton Home Center because my referrals trust my judgement due to my previous experiences. Every single time, I refer them to Tony and the Dalton Home Center Team, I ALWAYS get a whole hearted thank you from my referrals! Whether it’s residential, commercial or multi-family oriented, you will not regret hiring this team!!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Smyrna, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
