The proof is in the pudding - our house looks absolutely beautiful (will post pictures once the snow melts off the roof if we remember to). Serge is trustworthy and keeps all of his promises. He and his crew went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that all of our special requests were met (for instance, after they installed the JBoxes supporting the lights, I didn't like the proportions, so they got bigger JBoxes and graciously replaced them). When the work was done, Serge did a walk through with us, noting our concerns about little details, and then his crew took the time to polish and tweak every single corner of our house to perfection. "He came out within 2 hours of my initial call, and inspected the attic crawlspace as well as the outside of the roof to help assess where the water/moisture was coming from in preparation of insurance and damage mitigation activities. He was very thorough and offered advice on how best to proceed with respect to the insurance company etc. Based on how he performed the review, the way he listened and offered advice, and the information he was able to give; I would strongly consider him for roofing work."

"Outstanding experience from start to finish. Dave took the time to go up on the roof and inspect the existing shingles, then advised me on the best way to avoid a repeat of the ice dam problem I've had the last several years. He remained on the job site the entire time; he and his team arrived on schedule and completed the job well within estimate. They were courteous and professional, and Dave is meticulous about leaving the job site absolutely clean! They attended to details I would never have thought to ask for, such as painting the waste stack pipes and caulking around gaps in the siding (which had been installed years ago by a different contractor). This sort of thing is well above and beyond what one would normally expect. I would hire Dave again without hesitation for siding, roofing or landscaping. Highly recommended."

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

This time I had some challenging upper kitchen cabenets that I started to do myself, and set up the first corner cabinet and said self, you'd better call Wes, (my 1920 house predates thstraight lines). "KBK Construction does an excellent job. Top notch work that reflects our vision every time. Easy to communicate with, reliable and punctual. We started with a clean slate in the basement and KBK listened, fulfilled every detail and built an amazing playroom with built-ins, bar, and home theatre. They also helped with built-in entryway cubbies which turned out great and working on updating our kitchen. We have been extremely pleased with results and highly recommend!"
