They also have an online appointment system which is great. For a fee they winterize my system (which I had not done and was the cause of my pipes bursting) and reopen and inspect my system in the spring."

"I received 3 quotes from ANGIE'S LIST companies and RR IRRIGATION was not the cheapest of the 3, but provided me with (in my opinion) the best layout and more sprinkler heads than the other quotes I received. They prefer RAIN BIRD products while the other serious quote I received preferred HUNTER; both are the top companies in the industry. The RAIN BIRD Wi-Fi control system sometimes has some lag, but I'm glad I went with this instead of no Wi-Fi; it needs to be on a 2.4 Ghz frequency and not 5 Ghz to work best. Original install date got pushed back a few times due to weather, but nothing you could do about Mother Nature. Day of install went smooth, a little longer than originally anticipated because more hand digging was needed than initially thought due to their main machine not fitting through my backyard fence's gate. Freddy and his crew were great and cleaned up very nicely. Town inspection came through and passed with no issues... the system has worked great so far and now I have a lot more time to play with my daughters when I get home from work instead of moving hoses and sprinklers around my front, side, and back yard!"

"I have hired Tanzer Sprinklers for 2 jobs now. Their service is excellent. On the first job the salesman came out and had all the literature pertaining to the products he was going to install. The prices were very competitive. I had 3 estimates done. Tanzer was not the cheapest, however they were giving me the best equipment. When I asked other estimates for the exact same setup/equipment, they couldn't do better. The installation team is also excellent. They took care of my property and I got to watch them use advanced equipment for the first system install, and for the second install on our new home they had to dig trenches by hand in the rain. They did it like the pros they are. Very happy with both jobs they did and I would highly recommend them."

The booking was easy and the tech was on time. He did what I was expecting, to open the system up. However, while a number of the heads were not turning and would need to replaced, he provided me and my wife with an estimate for $700 to replace 7 total heads!! He said, because we have well water, they'd recommend using heads that include steel, so they are $65 each, plus he added $15 to "lower" the heads based on newer standards with sprinklers. This was way more than I wanted to spend and also $400+ more than an estimate I then received from another company to do the same work using sprinklers of the same quality but not replacing all 7, instead replacing just 4. The cost per sprinkler head was more in the $35-$40 range.

I'm sure Royal irrigation knows what they are doing as far as sprinklers, and I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the second estimate has me thinking that they are overpriced. They also didn't seem to want to work with us to find something that worked in our budget, unlike other vendors.

"All good. Booking was via phone for an appointment. They also gave a reminder call. The time slot was 1-4 and they said they might show up toward later part. They came around 2, Inspection was done, adjustments made, and two leaking heads identified. The tech asked me if I want to pay him to replace at $53 per head, because he noted I had apparently done others myself with Lowe's purchased heads. I wanted them to do it, so I approved it and got it done much quicker and easier than I ever could do it. I was happy he gave me the option about doing it myself before proceeding. Maybe I could have done the start up myself, but it was not too expensive on the Angie's coupon. He also advised about optimum watering duration. I was over watering my shrubs!
Bottom line- simple work, done easily, honestly and friendly."

"Excellent! I can't say enough good things about this project. We live in a 1920 Dutch Colonial, our walkway was falling apart. Miguel gave us samples to look at that would match our front Brick porch. The brickyard he sent us to allowed us to bring samples home to compare. He ordered what we wanted and within 4 days began the project. He came early in the morning and stayed well into the evening and completed the job in 2 days from demolition and removal of the old walk to the installation of the new one. He seeded the lawn that edged it. We selected him because he a patio and driveway and walkway for our nextdoor neighbors. We've lived here since 1974 and people trust the contractors we use. We highly recommend him and we always like to hire local owner operated businesses. For an additional fee he planted 2 trees in the front of the house. We are very satisfied."
