"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"Overall experience Terrific. Joseph is one of the most honest, straight forward guys out there. I am very thankful with God that he leasing me in the right way so that I would choose his company over the other companies out there. I’m the beginning I thought that the price was a bit high for my budget but then later I realized the skill level that he does in each one of his kinds of inspection he offers is unbelievable. I owe Joseph my life he helped me convince myself that there truly was a serious mold problem with the house that I just bought not even 1 year ago. So I moved out from my new home in the mean time before my health continues to get in more delicate situation. The mold odor has now begun to cause me to have asthma which I never ever had before in my life. The bank/ realtor Home inspection report of the home never caught any of this bad mal fowl odor and mold infestation from underneath the home. It’s crazy how some of these home inspection still are able to keep their business license when they are worth no good at all. Trust me you won’t regret yourself by choose Guaranteed Property and Mold Inspections. They are by far the best out there. They provided me with a very detailed reports which has lab results from samples they sent out and everything."

"Excellent company! Very easy going in scheduling and doing the job AS SUPPOSED TO BE! They recommended a company for the drywall after the asbestos were removed. However, we said we will shop around. They were fine with the idea. We did go with the company that they recommended, though Synergy workers were punctual, professional, and on task. They have a supervisor who came twice to check on the work performed and the person who verified that no asbestos was present before we would come into the house. We did not do the whole house; definitely we will contract them when we need to do the rest. Everything as should be!"

"We knew we had a moisture problem under our house ( Muddy crawl space damp smell evidence of mould), but did not realise how severe until we asked Adam from the company to do an inspection. It was obvious that the space was flooding periodically. We were about to install new wooden floors and did not want them to buckle and warp. <br /> The company jiggled there schedule to fit us in very quickly and work began. They drove from Novato every day. <br /> The guys that came out were professional, polite and worked very hard. Crawling around in 2 foot of space, digging sump pumps and laying down huge areas of membrane in the dark and filth takes a certain kind of worker. <br /> Billing was clear, the contract was concise and followed the rules associated with general contractors. <br /> Felicia in the office was very helpful. <br /> our 2000 ft crawl space is clean, brighter and smells a lot better. Lets hope that pump does its thing when the wet weather finally arrives! <br /> thank you we totally recommend this company. <br />"

"My plumber turned me on to RestoreX with a leak from an upstairs bathroom into a dining room in a rental unit. Within two hours Manny (a Project Manager) called me back on a Saturday during Memorial Day Weekend. The project was handled efficiently with the end result far exceeding my expectations; everything was taken care. They were extremely accessible through the process and did everything they could to turn this project around (during a pandemic) so I could get my tenant back into their home. They're truly a full white glove service provider in a very messy business. I'm extremely appreciative and would use them again without hesitation."

"Communication was OK.  David Mouser was a bit spotty, but generally responded well. There was a lot of back and forth, until it was finally settled that the original contractor would pay Alliance to clean up the mess.  <br /> <br /> Alliance came in, set up, and in one day cleared the job. <br /> <br /> I took a little off the rating because I never quite got the followup I expected.  The first crew left all the sheeting and negative air pressure equipment in place and just left.  I later learned that's because a second crew is supposed to come by, do testing, and tear down.  I never saw the results of the testing and air sampling.  It was unclear how much of a mess the original fraudulent contractor had made: for example ducts may have been dragged through a suspended ceiling.  Having some test results would have given comfort that the job is really "done".  Instead the job was very constrained to just one area. <br /> <br /> Also unfortunately: one old unused asbestos boot got forgotten.  It was not on the bid list, there is no blame here, it just got overlooked.  The sad part is to clear that up means facing the entire process again: plastic sheeting, negative air pressure, bunny suited young workers... all for about 3 minutes of work to yank the duct. <br /> <br /> --------- <br /> Side note: all the workers were young.  Asbestos removal though may be a better job for the old.  If an Asbestos cancer takes 30 years to mature, then 60 or 70 year old workers face far fewer risks."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Sonoma, CA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
