He's done everything from fine carpentry to building self wicking vegetable garden tubs, to building a gazebo, to electrical projects, to plumbing repairs and upgrades. Some of the projects have been simple and covered only a few hours of labor, some of the projects have been extensive and lasted over a week. Art has always made sure the project was done to his standards - which are nothing short of exceptional. The quality of his work cannot be overstated. The house looks fantastic, and they didn't leave a mark on it. They went the extra mile to get the details just right even though it took them longer to achieve. They were polite and informative when asked about the hows and whys of some of the work. If they were painters, I'd hire them to paint the behemoth as well."

"We have had a HORRIBLE experience with this company and would NOT recommend them to anyone. Our project was quoted in the Summer of 2021 and is still not finished. All we needed was to have some exterior wood repaired and painted and new gutters installed. It is September 2022, and it is still not complete. A crew came out in early August 2022 to replace some wood trim and remove the gutters. And we are still waiting... I understand labor shortages and material delays, but our project was quoted over a year ago. The communication and sense of urgency from the company have been terrible. The project's cost has increased due to material price increases, but had this been completed when scoped initially, this would not have been the case. We bid three other contractors, and I wish I had chosen someone else (I believe this project would have been completed)."

"We are super happy with the work and the outcome. We have hired other painting companies in the past, but North Pointe was the 1st company to power wash, caulk and sand the exterior prior to painting. The extras they put in place so paint wouldn't get on anything was great! We had used North Pointe for some interior painting and painting of cabinets. We were so happy with that, we had the exterior done. We hired them again, not even a week after completing the exterior to paint the rest of our interior."

"I hired AA Hardwoods a few years back to refinish original oak floors as well as original baseboards and window casings in my 1930s house. Some of the baseboards were painted (probably many times over the decades), and the window casings were in ROUGH shape. Michael and his team are some of the most professional contractors we’ve hired. Michael was great about realistic about expectations, given that the pieces had been in place for 85 years. He warned that some pieces might break or not be salvageable. But he was amazingly careful and saved I think all of the original parts with some small exceptions. The floors and all the other trim work look awesome. At one point when one of Michael’s staff was putting the trim in, I noticed that one piece was out of order. Michael came personally and fixed it with no problem. They did spend more time on the project than originally expected, and so were over budget by a bit. Michael was kind enough to split the overages. I would definitely work with them again, and in fact, I have a new project, which is what reminded me to write this review. Definitely recommend!"
