"The appraiser came out and reviewed the area. He gave me the base price and offered options of 4x6 post and knot free upgraded fence boards. I decided to go for the best. The appointment was scheduled to start in approximately 4 to 6 weeks. I was called 48 hours before arrival. The crew came out at 8:00 am and within 3 hours had all the old fencing removed. At this point they proceeded to build install the new fencing. There was one hiccup and that was the area where the double gate was installed. The concrete slants away from my house and to allow it to clear when opening and look symmetrical, the gap at the bottom was raised slightly . I approved this change. By 5:30 pm the complete job was finished. It looks wonderful. The next day, I noticed that one on the fence boards on the small gate was splitting. I called Meza's and without question, they scheduled the replacement within 48 hours. The board was replaced and the whole fence looks fantastic. I very pleased with their workmanship and would definitely hire again"

"Nato and his team were prompt, professional, and worked at a very reasonable price. He was not much for providing a detailed written contract, which made me very anxious. However, he was a good as his word and met his schedule as promised. The job required 10 circuits on a double lot filled with mature and dense landscaping and lots of pathways to cross under. We were impressed - in fact surprised - with how it was all done with minimal disruption to the plantings and it was almost invisible when it was complete. Well done, Nato!"

"If you need a handyman, Carlos Painting and Handyman services are absolutely the way to go! From the first correspondence, Carlos was professional and prompt.  His work (and that of his very capable assistant Luis)  included the following:
  • *installing doorknobs and smoke alarms,
*sealing, priming and painting the outside of our living room and dining room windows,
*completely redoing a skylight in the kitchen (cleaning, scraping, priming, painting) It's absolutely beautiful and has changed the look and feel of our whole kitchen!
*installing two light fixtures (this included fixing the wiring in both),
 *painting kitchen cabinets,
*regrouting the kitchen sink,
*priming and painting the baseboards in the living room, dining room and hallway,
*fixing a water damaged wall
*Priming and painting the trim around the living and dining room windows.
*priming and painting the wall around the living room windows
*removing the carpet in the  large  hallway and cleaning up the hardwood underneath, (gorgeous)
*taking the paint off of some tiling in the bathroom.
Carlos brought all of the supplies and even went to home depot to pick up some items for projects that I had added to the original list.  Carlos is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work.
He is a great listener when you explain what you need and makes valuable suggestions!
I love walking around the house and seeing all of the wonderful improvements.  If houses could smile, mine would have the biggest around.
Thank you Carlos, I look forward to our next project !

"An absolute pleasure to work with. The whole process was completely stress-free, from bidding to scheduling to execution. We had a variety of tasks, some of them quite demanding (installing an over-the-range microwave with an exhaust vent going through the roof, various plumbing work, changing valves in the wall, hooking up gas appliances, moving electrical plugs, installing kitchen cabinets, etc.) and they did everything timely, safely, and extra professionally. The price was very reasonable. They were punctual and polite at all times. Very warmly recommended for any task you can imagine -- there is nothing they can't do. Will definitely call in the future."

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in South San Francisco, CA

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
