We have no complaints about the quality of washing and drying we are getting, and we're committed to using products that don't scratch or perfume our dishes or harm the water supply. Technician asked what we use and told us to "throw that away" and use recommended products. I can understand that certain products are recommended with certain makes of appliances -- but it would have taken 20 seconds to tell us what the recommended products are without having our choices criticized. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"They have always fixed the problems that we've had. Frustrations? Delays? At times. We live in a flawed world. But overall, service has been professional and well done. It has always been worth the monthly fee and deductibles. If you consider that most appliances today only last five years or so, breakdowns are going to be a given. Our most recent repair will require at least two service calls and an $1800 part. That more than pays for our entire year's fees."

"The technician arrived on time; he put covers over his boots to protect my floors, and went right to work assessing the problem.  Within minutes he had a diagnosis of the problem and explained what needed to be repaired.  He said the ice maker had stripped a nylon gear and needed to be replaced.  After I agreed to the work and cost, he said he had an ice maker unit on his truck and went to get it.  He had it installed and tested in about 10-12 minutes.  He gave me a discount on the unit's cost and labor rate because I was an existing customer.  He had come out previously to solve a different problem on the same refrigerator/freezer.  He was quick, accurate, courteous, and priced right.  In other words, all the things I feel are important in an in-home repair technician.
