"I inquired about help needed on a malfunctioning, under the counter ice maker. Lenny responded that very evening, set up an appointment for the next morning (a Saturday), diagnosed the problem and ordered parts needed for repair. Lenny showed me everything, explained what was happening and gave me several options if I wanted to proceed. While parts were in transit, Lenny communicated often, and when they arrived, we set up a follow up to finish the repair. Lenny was personable, very informative, professional, clean and took great care of my appliance and my home. "Overall, my appliance (Samsung Refrigerator - water/ice maker inop) works now following International Appliance's visit. They quickly responded to my online request, ordered the replacement part, and were back the next workday for the repair. The part ended up being a contributing factor, but the issue was far more complicated than just a replacement part. The tech assessed the situation and had to run to the local hardware store to buy additional parts to remedy my issue (he had to run a new water line to my refrigerator as the old one was clogged and non-recoverable). He completed all repairs and left me with a functioning refrigerator. Only two issues I have which kept me from giving more stars was the payment App they used and the service fee. I paid via an App on the tech's phone (I believe it was PayPal). The App took a picture of my credit card and charged me (not the company) a $6 usage fee every time I made a payment. Since it was two separate days of work, there were two separate payments, which meant $12 in App usage fees that I paid, and not the business. I was only made aware of these fees at the completion of the day's work. I would recommend the company re-look their payment process and not charge the customer the App usage fee (or at least be upfront about it). The labor/diagnosis fee ended up being $139. The only price they ever quoted was a $50 service fee. $139 seems to be fairly standard among the appliance repair companies I contacted, and most are up front about it, but this company never quoted that fee (before or during the repair process, just at the final bill). Again, the work was completed in a timely manner and my appliance is now functioning. The tech was friendly and responsive, so overall a good experience."

"I?ve had them since I moved in here for my air conditioning and heating system. I?ve been here for 2 ? years. The only problem was them diagnosing the exact problem, it took them 4 or 5 times that they came out before they figured out what was wrong. I have a contract with them, so it basically didn?t cost me anything even if they came 10 times. They came right away and they were concerned about trying to figure out what was wrong. It was an intermittent problem, so that was the reason they couldn?t figure it out completely. With the service contract, it didn?t really cost me anything more."

"Our washing machine broke down on Saturday afternoon -- why do appliances always break on the weekend? -- and it is no longer covered by warranty. We had used A & S before and were very satisfied with their service so we thought we would try them again.  We called them early Monday morning and they agreed to send a tech between 3:00 and 6:00 that day.  At 3:00, the tech Schuyler called to inform us that he would be at our home in 10 minutes.  We showed him the washer and described the problem.  He checked out the unit and quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken motor coupler.  He gave us an estimate for the time and cost to repair and we agreed.  He had the necessary part and tools in his truck and quickly returned to make the repair. He carefully moved a few things out of his way in the laundry room and tilted the washer in order to make the repair.  All told, he took about 15 minutes to remove the damaged part and install the replacement.  After he re-positioned the washer and replaced the items that he had to move, he tested the machine thoroughly and let it run while he returned his tools to his truck and wrote up the invoice.  He also gave us his cell phone number so we could call him in case we noticed any problems with the repair.  The invoice price matched the estimate exactly, as it should.  Overall, it was another excellent experience with a very good service company."
