Small jobs welcome

"I searched through Home Advisor for a plumber. My Service Pro came up and Mark called back in 5 minutes. Set a time later that day to install a sump pump. The job was completed in time with better equipment than I had in in the first place. He also installed a motor for an air exchanger that I had but had been unable to find one of the "big firms" to do. He's a master plumber, but also a first class individual. John S."

"We had an issue with our water conditioning system for Aquarius. They attempted to remedy the problem and determined they needed to replace the system. With the system being over 5 years old, I was uncertain what it would cost me, however, the only thing better than the equipment they provide is their customer service. No cost to replace with a better system. Now that is service!"

"Exceptional work ethic producing a very high quality of work. It's rare to see this level of quality workmanship, combined with, outstanding customer service. He removed and put in 2 new toilets, removed and recaulked a terrible caulking job from the previous owners, added caulking to both baths that needed to be done, replaced the outdoor spicket so now it works, and cleaned everything up so it was looking better than when he arrived! Tony is meticulous, knowledgable and helped to explain what was happening and how I can maintain it in the future. We will definitely use Tony again. We highly recommend Tony."

"Luke, the electrician was great to work with. However, the $644.00 charge for a ten-minute task that involved cutting and reconnecting two wires to replace a photo switch was ridiculous. So, I wouldn't contact Dean again."

"I received an initial quote on 10/2/2013 which included lathing under the basement windows, tuckpointing misc areas in basement, removing loose mortar and patching it all up.  The entire job was estimated to take a day and a half.  The quote of $2880.00 seemed fair at the time and work began on 11/26/2013.  Randy and his team were very friendly and proceeded to finish the job quite quickly.  They were in and out in about 7 hours instead of the initial estimated time of a day and a half.  The quality of work was very good.  They missed a couple of small areas but there was a lot of space to cover and I can handle those minor spots.  They cleaned up after themselves very well (in the basement).  That being said, I do have two gripes... <br /> First, this sort of work is very very dusty.  My basement lacks a door to the first floor so the dust invaded the entire house and I'm still cleaning it up two months after the work was completed.  It would have been nice if they had put plastic up at the entrance to the basement and ran some industrial air filtration devices to remove some of the dust from the air. <br /> Second, I got the sense that my job was much smaller than both G Gardner and I initially thought.  They completed it a day earlier than planned but still charged me the original agreed upon price.  I realize that I signed a contract which binds me to pay what I agreed to regardless of how much time it takes but if it really was less work than originally anticipated I would have expected some sort of discount to encourage repeat business.  I'm not saying that there was anything underhanded or dishonest going on.  I just suspect that the job came in a bit under cost and none of that was passed onto me.  I would still consider hiring G Gardner in the future based upon the quality of their work. <br />"

"I had a wet basement that had been a problem in my home for years before purchase of my home. The placement of a Sump pump and floor drain tile appears to stop wet foundation walls and floor. The basement now has potential to be nice area of use and living for years ahead. The service is a expensive purchase for homeowner but it is a needed purchase for my home. The finishing job leaves the need with more work if your basement floor was rough from the years of water damage. They did stop any future water damage for my home and it is safe to spend more for more fine finishing. They completed what was contracted."

"Sump pump failed after hours(of course) but Weld plumbing got one of their plumbers out within 2 hours (maybe less) to totally replace the sump pump. He was so nice and so efficient and got it done in under an hour. The price was high because it was after hours, but we were told what it would cost before the plumber came out. We agreed to that price, otherwise we would have had a flooded basement."

"Jack has helped me with multiple plumbing projects over the last 9 years. From gas line hookups to shower repair to water heater replacement, I have always been so happy with his his work. Most recently I had a frozen water pipe during a cold snap. Even though he was on vacation, he called me back and took the time to walk me through how to solve it. As always, he was spot on and helped me get through a stressful situation with ease. Jack, I am most appreciative of the work you done over the years!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Spring Park, MN

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
