"Updated Review November 2025: Upon my previous concerns, HGE escalated my project to Hunter, who took care of everything with great professionalism. Any issues were resolved and the work is as expected. I'm a much happier client now! Review October 2025: I previously had a great experience with HGE (see original review below), so much so that I recommended HGE to my boyfriend (at the time, we are now married). He also had a great experience, so when we were preparing to list my husbands home and found ourselves needing to replace a deck roof that started leaking and replace some trim, we went straight to HGE. This time has been a terrible experience. Our project manager was different and just horrible. The crews cancelled on him more than once, his communication was severely lacking, and the work was subpar, far below our previous experiences. Big disappointment. Original 5 Star Review From 2022: I had a great experience with Home Genius Exteriors. Our project manager, Shane, was"

"Joe explained the work his crew was going to do. They sealed the gaps and painted the trim."

"The owner, Phil, did an excellent job explaining all the details of the removal and installation of my new fence. His estimate of price and duration was spot-on. He offered a very good price that was almost half the price of other estimates that I received. His workers were very professional, personable, and did a superb job from start to finish. The fence looks amazing. I will be hiring Phil to do other work on my house in the near future."

"I needed to replace a severely damaged dry stone wall across the width of my back yard. Wallstructures built a very fine, 38 foot wood tie retaining wall that followed the contour of the land beautifully.. The project was performed very professionally with great attention to detail. The overall effect was an immense improvement to my property. I already have plans with Wallstructures for a second project in the early spring."

"Gino and his team did a great job on installing a new interior bedroom door. They are professional with reasonable pricing that is backed by a warranty. I would highly recommend them."

"During a day when everyone in Pittsburgh was having a leak, they were the only ones to call me back. They came that afternoon to stop the leak and rip out the small area of dry wall. They replaced the part of the roof that needed to be fixed within a week and also repaired the affected area inside the house within a week. I had to call them a few times to remind them to come back to finish the work, but the owner was very sick, so he had a good reason. The job was reasonably priced and they did an A+ job. Highly recommend.

Yes!! Book this vendor if you need any interior house painting!!

I had the kitchen (walls, trim, ceiling) Living and Dining room (walls and trim). Entry hall way ( walls, ceiling and trim)  Stairs and upper landing ( walls, celling and trim) plus basement entry and stairs ( walls and ceiling) plus 6 windows trim that were in  terrible condition. They now look good as new!! They did such an awesome job and even repaired the  lousy plaster job previous done by another vendor for plaster repair. I was going to move all the furniture, but, before I could, they were already out the house , prepping and moving all my stuff (.. and I had A LOT of stuff !!)  They were so good, that  I had them prime and paint  walls, ceiling and trim for two additional bathrooms. I will have them come again to paint the master and 1 kid bedroom next month. They did a great job cleaning after themselves too!!

They were very professional and did a fantastic job!  Nice guys too! I had 4 estimates and found them very reasonable !  I would definitely recommend them  to anyone. Just an added note- My Husband is very hard to please when it comes to  house services- and he too was very please!

"V & J Contracting & Roofing was one of 8 companies that I contacted to get quotes to build a deck off my back porch to the pool we had installed in the fall the year before. Being the 1st time we needed to hire a professional to come in for a major build we were quite nervous. Jason came out to site the deck and take measurements. I felt good after meeting him personally. My wife and I were happy with the quote. Jason was very quick to return any call ore text I sent him. I was at work the week they worked on my deck and my wife was at home. Everyone there was considerate and treated my family nice. The deck come out beautiful and was exactly as we wanted. The only negative thing with the deck experience was something that was not in the control of any one and it was the rain that pushed the build back, however Jason was in contact with us and we were kept informed of this and all. My whole family enjoyed the deck all summer. We were happy built the price, the build and the crew themselves. When It is time for our next project Jason will be my 1st call."

"Nathan was very responsive, punctual, thorough and open through the entire repair process. We will definitely be using him again in the future for repairs and/or anything else that pops up. He can do it all. He even was willing to complete additional plumbing repairs/electrical throughout the house while he was on the job, great handyman, 5 stars!"

"They did a fine job....weren't prompt with arrive times.  One day they didn't show up and didn't call.  When the job was finished I tried to replace a switch plate that had been left off and the plate wouldn't cover the hole.  I had to get a friend to fix it for me.  I called the Construction Co and left a message describing the problem but no one returned my call.  for this reason I will not choose them to remodel my bathrooms
