"The best way for me to sum up my experience with Wells & Wells is simply. You are doing business with just genuinely good people. They take pride in their work, and their customer interactions. Our deck was destroyed by falling trees during the snowstorm in January. We had a regular wood deck and we thought the damage was extensive. After many contractors Wells was the only one that came by and provided an honest assessment. They didnâ t cut corners for cost purposes, they were just honest and real about what needed to be repaired. The not only repaired our deck, they almost completely rebuilt it. For all intents and purposes we now have a new deck. We were able to upgrade from wood to Trex (due to the current cost of lumber). The folks at Wells even told us about the cost differences in wood and Trex and provided professional advice in helping us upgrade. They never tried to price gouge us, they never took advantage. They arrived everyday on time and completed the work on schedule. Throughout the project they would check in to ask how I felt about their work as the project progressed, and they walked me through once it was completed. My wife and I were so impressed with their work that we will be contracting with them from other future projects to improve our home. Itâ s just great to know companies like this are still around."

"Summit Roofing Contractors, Inc. recently installed a new roof and repaired the front door portico on our home.  If you are looking for a local Northern Virginia business who provides quality roofing services at a reasonable price, definitely contact Summit Roofing.  Our estimator/project manager, Joe Ortiz was thorough and professional in his presentation.  He was always available to answer any questions we had, from the start of the project to its completion.  From the delivery of the shingles, to the workers who actually did the labor of removing the old roof, to installing the new roofing system, the work was done with absolute precision and care.  Despite the brutally hot weather, the work was done professionally and efficiently.  Upon completion of the job, all debris was removed and the area surrounding our house was cleaned to include a magnetic sweep of the grass.  The crew worked well together and were organized and polite!  Our front door portico repair was completed by a single worker who worked tirelessly in the extreme heat to reconstruct our rotten portico.  The new roof and reconstructed portico has improved the curb appeal of our home and speaks volumes to the quality of work performed by Summit Roofing.  We were also very pleased with the warranty provided by Summit Roofing and the additional factory warranty provided as a CertainTeed certified contractor.  All in all, it was quite an experience to observe the planning, organizing and extensive labor that goes into installing a roof.  Summit Roofing Contractors, Inc. did an outstanding job for us and we are very happy with the end results.  We would highly recommend Summit Roofing to anyone!

"Excellent! Quick note that this is a late review; work was done at the end of 2015 (I just never joined Angie's list until now). So first experience was the quote, John came over and was very friendly and helpful; he shot out some good ideas and was very agreeable to everything I was hoping to accomplish. We had bad experiences with other contractors that came over to quote us, mostly way over my target price (I had done my homework on price expectations), others just not helpful in terms of ideas. John's was super helpful and the price came in right around my expectations. The quality of work was great, everything was completed on time (there was a little delay with the scheduling of the inspector, but wasn't their fault; the actual work was done on time). John was very helpful and was willing to make reasonable changes without charge. Note that other contractors who quoted us said they would charge us for any change to the scope even if the work hadn't started yet; made us pretty uncomfortable... John however stated he wouldn't charge us for any changes that don't affect materials or cause extra time, and he stuck by it! We were very happy! He even fixed the location of some speaker wire for me after the drywall was up; I can admit that was an unreasonable request on my part.... but he was cool about it and fixed it for me even though it meant he had to re-do some dry wall work; A+ for customer service! Overall it's been over a year now, and we're incredibly happy with our basement. We've had no issues since the work was done and we'd definitely hire them again."

"Patrick returned with the two men who would do the job and also with shingles that were comparable in every way to mine but just a tiny little difference in the shade of the black. As not visible I requested to use what was available and kindly offered to me at a significant savings (over ordering the color match) for which I was most appreciative. The two men, Dave and Israel were very nice and expertly completed the repair under time and under original quote! Of Note| while Patrick was getting the ladder from his car, a neighbor approached him to come and look at his roof and he absolutely DID DO IT after my estimate was done! I am so pleased with the service, efficiency, concern and care for the customer and the overall friendly professionalism from everyone I encountered! I am going to pass the info along to our homeowners association so that others in our neighborhood can enjoy being taken care of in time of stress."

Mr. Handyman works on exterior and interior projects and quite honestly no job is either too big or too small. They show up on time, only do the work you want, are fair and reasonable with their price, and very trustworthy. He maintains a class ‘A’ license and holds a FANTASTIC reputation with his community, customers and workforce. When I moved to Alexandria, I inquired if I could hire his team up here, but his franchise boundaries do not permit this – otherwise, I would do it in a heart-beat! "Matt was prompt with his response to our request for an estimate. He worked within the rates provided by the penny pinching insurance company. He stayed in contact with us throughout the two month long project. He took a bare stud and concrete gutted basement and turned it back into a great living space. He was flexible as our plans changed. The guy is a true jack of all trades. The project took longer than we wanted, but not all of the delay was the contractor's fault. He was also amenable to our expectations that minor defects be fixed.
