The electrician went to check and stayed at the property for less than 5 mins after confirmation to do full diagnostic of the electrical system. "The heating was fixed but I am very unhappy about the pricing and lack of transparency. The service technician tried to upsell me a $200 safety valve that I “absolutely needed” (but online said should be able to be installed for less than $50 and was just another added feature to shut off the AC if the drain was clogged). The technician said he would not charge me for the repair on my dampener but I got a $40 charge anyways after refusing to pay for the safety valve, which I said I would buy myself. When I had spoken with Casteel on the phone the night before, they said the $40 charge would be for a second HVAC unit, which ultimately did not get serviced. I never received a detailed explanation of these charges and instead said this was a “miscellaneous fee” for repairs. They got the job done but I do not think I would hire again solely because I felt like I was being taken advantage of for most of the visit. I could not get the $40 charge removed after calling Casteel and explaining the situation. So it was a $129 service call with no parts replaced more expensive than other providers."
