"Very well. The insert is direct vented, no air into the house from outside, no inside air to the outside, only heat into the room when it's on. Very nice. <br /> Jim and his son Jacob installed a Travis Industries fireplace insert with and quot;Greensmart.and quot; It basiclly functions like a furnace maintaining the temprature you set, or you can set it manualy and have it on. Has an accent light that is dimable and two adjustable flames, one you can turn off. Adjustable blower too. <br /> They arrived around 1045 and were done around 4. I enjoyed talking with them as they worked, they were very curtious, professional and concerned with providing us with a top notch product installed to our satisfaction, which they did. They took care to not make a mess of the house nor tear up anything. They made sure it was done right. <br /> You will get to meet the rest of the family when you go to the showroom in Jackson TN. This family treats you like they want your business and appreciate it. It's nice supporting a family business. They delivered the product for the price they quoted and on time. <br /> A+ <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Sugar-tree, TN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
