"Aaron at OnCall was very nice and professional. He had to do so much more than originally expected because of what happened to my septic tank. I thought it was just a broken pipe and it ended up being a total failed system. Aaron went above and beyond to get the right professionals out to my property to clean up the problem so he could do a thorough job fixing the plumbing issue. <br />"

"Called to see if they could do an inspection for leaks and they squeezed me in the same day, which I really appreciated. The gentlemen from Crew were courteous and professional, and did not seem rushed to get out even though they came after hours. They did a thorough job and even showed me how to check the meter for signs of leaks myself, which I really appreciated. They really went above and beyond. I would recommend them to anyone!"

"I was alerted by another HVAC company that I had a leak in my heat exchanger. After getting a second opinion, it was confirmed that carbon monoxide was indeed seeping into my house. Zooming forward, after researching on Angie's List, I came up with a list of over 6 companies, because replacing a split system with a gas packaged unit and the ductwork was going to be expensive. By the 3rd company, I was well aware of how everything worked and how to look for a company that knew what they were doing. <br /> Long story, short Lever Repairs was recommended to me by a neighbor and they were a smaller company. I actually hesitated to call them, but decided to call them at the last minute. And I'm glad I did and here's why. <br /> Will from Lever Repairs impressed me with his patience when he first came out. Unlike some of the other companies, he actually went into my crawl space - analyzed my situation and then gave me a solution. He was very patient in answering my list over over 20 plus questions and showed me how everything worked, from their ductwork, etc. <br /> All the other companies wanted $10-13K to do this, so I was expecting around the $9-10 range. But Will quoted me with a 10 year parts and labor warranty, all new ductwork, plus a gas packaged unit, and new vent around $6700. I also got the 10% off the system upgrade as well, so I saved a lot. <br /> At that moment, I knew these were the guys. I saw good reviews on Angie's List, everything added up, and not the cheapest, but the most thorough and second to the cheapest. <br /> They were willing to come the following Monday, where they removed all the ductwork, and the old unit. They worked diligently and worked very hard and by Wednesday, I had air condition. It was amazing. About a month later as I write this, I am thoroughly impressed. <br /> Also a lot of companies were charging me for stuffed Lever Repairs was doing for free or at a lower cost. These guys answered my questions, and were very helpful. <br /> My electric bill was $200 previously and with only two weeks of use, it was down to $130. I'm expecting around $100 or less on this upcoming bill. <br /> And it used to take an hour to get the house cool or warm. Now it takes literally 15 minutes to go from 77 to 73, which is crazy. <br /> They went above and beyond and I'll be having them come back. Ed Lever and his two workers Will and a younger fellow, forgot his name, were awesome. <br />"

"Rite Temp did an outstanding job.  About 2 years ago we had obtained a quote and couldn't afford to pursue a geothermal system.  But we had really liked the company and the concept, so we re-contacted the estimator, Paul Crawford.  He immediately emailed us and was very responsive.  We re-bid the job and he worked with us to obtain the permits and to order the system parts.  He made sure we got the paperwork for the tax credits on time for this tax year and he personally was on the job every single day for the 2 weeks it took to install it.  The team of guys were all very professional, cleaned up after each area and day, and were friendly and so easy to work with.  They had to trench a water line from the lake area through the yard.  They hand-dug around the house to avoid severing any drip irrigation and gas lines.  When they accidentally cut the satellite cable, they repaired it.  Upon installing the thermostats, we had to remove an old, unsightly one, and Paul personally went out and purchased a door-bell box that would cover the ugly wiring in that bedroom.  They installed a 2 ton and a 3 ton water furnace along with an air handler, and connected the system to our hot water heaters.  They were here every day all day till after 5 pm many days--amazing work ethic displayed.  My husband and I are so pleased and would recommend this company to anyone.  Did I mention that they had to bring a boat to properly place the piping system?? That day required almost their entire mechanical team and managers to get all the work done.  All day they worked to get everything done property and with great attitude.  This is an excellent, well-managed company and we are extremely happy with the product so far, the way it's operating, and with the tremendous installation experience!!  Afterwards we received a beautifully prepared booklet with all of our warranty information, tax forms, contact info, and operations manuels---Wow!!!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Swansea, SC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
