"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"To say it went perfect would be an understatement. We could not be more pleased with the craftmanship, the staff, the materials, and the professional construction we had done from this company. The photos of both bathrooms do not even do it justice because we can't capture the entire room with one photo. We have never had such amazing construction done by any contractor in the 32 years of home ownership, prior to this company. They do it all. Indoor, outdoor, heavy construction, light construction. They had to relocate HVAC ducts, plumbing, electric, and move some walls. They are a one-stop shop!! Prices were extremely reasonable."

We worked collaboratively with Cornelio in the design and execution. One of the best attributes that Cornelio brings to a project is to solve unanticipated problems as they arise with creative and cost effective solutions. Would I hire him again? Absolutely. "

"Very well. Robert explained the work they would do and he coordinated tile, plumbing and countertop replacement. We had an early 80's kitchen that needed help but we didn't want a major renovation. They updated our cabinets with new, larger doors, painted the frames, added soft-close hinges, and constructed a new cabinet to replace a built-in desk. New backsplash, granite countertops, and hardware. Their work was a superb value and we're pleased with our new "bright" kitchen!"

"Bathroom renovations are tricky and we chose to redo everything, even replace a tub with a shower. The place was more than 20 years old and desperately needed to look fresher. Every detail matters, materials, colors, size, position, everything can make a client feel unhappy or dissatisfied. Rafi and his crew were very professional and responsive during the entire process and did their best to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. You still have to check progress every day to catch any little deviations before they become big things, and once again I praise Rafi and crew for their quick responses to all of our questions, concerns and reasonable requests for changes. I was very please with the final result and I'd definitely hire them again."

and professional in the midst of multiple move-in activities and vendors. She
took the time to explain to me the value of material types and pros and cons of
each choice we discussed. At the end of the day the estimate was HALF of all other
competitive bids.
The day of installation the installer was on time - professional, efficient and
took the time to explain everything to me as far as codes and motors. The job
came in as estimated budget-wise.
This was one of the best consumer experiences I've had -customer service, trust
in the Stoneberger team/employees, price and quality of product. I could not
recommend them any higher!

"Overall, the experience was okay.
Designer missed first appointment at my house (that we had scheduled over the phone), which was disappointing because I had taken off of work for that specific purpose. Called to find out where he was and said he said he didn't have the appointment in his calendar. Was accommodating in rescheduling appointment on a Saturday. Showed up, took measurements, and we discussed the layout of my kitchen, which to be fair, is very complicated given radiators, windows, doors, etc.. Design had good ideas and provided a starting point for me, but just didn't feel right.
After getting the quote for the renovation ($38,890), which I had to follow up to request that it be itemized, I determined that the prices were high. For instance, quote for install/sanding of hardwoods in kitchen/living room was more than double what I had it done for with a highly-rated Angie's list flooring provider. Cabinets were $19,510, and i felt like the kitchen was designed to sell the cabinets, which given that I had been clear up front about my firm budget of $30k, design could have been scaled down to minimize cabinetry and associated expenses. Other items in the scope of work were lumped together and not adequate broken down, so I could not see what the estimate per each individual labor item was.
Dwain, the owner, was responsive and did seem eager to do business with me. However, the pricing for the complete kitchen remodel was out of my range and the design just didn't click, so I ended up not going with them.

"This job was part of a whole house painting job the company did on a single family house I was putting on the market. It has two levels of hardwood floors, 15 windows and one patio door. There is a kitchen and two full bath an powder room. The crew did a great job, especially with the professional range (Wolf 36") and range hood (Vent-a-Hood, 900 cfm) that saw some heavy cooking over the past few years. They did miss two windows. I'm sure if I pointed out in time, Amilcar will work on them. But given the great job they did overall, I have nothing to complain. Amilcar is very responsible and responsive. It was a pleasure working with him."

A month before I sold my home they cleaned the carpets; 2 days before closing I called Bill back due to water damage to the home. Bill was onsite mitigating the water damage within 40 minutes of my call to him. They were quick and professional with their water mitigation efforts and were also GREAT with managing the repair/renovation work. He went above and beyond due to my unique situation with the home sale. Thanks Bill for your calm, kind and professional manner.
