"Sorry to be so late with this review. Just as we were preparing to leave town in mid-July, 2018 our air conditioner stopped working . We called Matthew Roberts. One man came out and worked for quite a while, he called someone else they both tried several fixes, but nothing worked. We had an idea of how much a whole new AC would cost so when they gave us a quote we were ready to decide. They came out and installed the entire Trane system, inside and out, in one day so it was working when we left town. Very professional, neat, friendly and took old system away. Since then we've had a couple of issues: a snake got in the electronics of the outside unit, shut it down and a couple of other service calls were handled extremely quickly and most with no charge because unit was under warranty. Michael was often the repairman and we were extremely pleased with his work and service."

He was thorough in examining and ensuring that both the outdoor and indoor A/C and heating unit was working and recommended any changes, which I’ll wait until the next service. I pay the company a yearly subscription fee to come out twice a year to look at the unit and it’s never failed. I’ve used Service One for years and they have not changed in their work and professionalism."

"We bought a home that unfortunately had 2 units over 20 years old. We received a letter and coupon from Service Star for annual maintenance (addressed to previous owner). We had not been having any issues with our AC but thought maintenance was pretty important, especially with summer coming. Louis came out on Tuesday, April 28th and did a thorough inspection of our units. He was very friendly, engaging and we felt confident and convinced that he was quite knowledgeable in this field. Turns out there were big issues with our unit including the huge mold issue, coil issue, fire hazard issues, etc. (yikes!). Our units were working pretty hard and getting pretty hot and there was zero efficiency going on. Basically, the life of our units had come to an end. We opted to replace the units and he gave us a pretty good deal which included upgrading the digital thermostats (pretty awesome!). My husband is a vet so there was a nice discount I appreciated how he explained everything to us and outlined what replacing the units entailed. We were pleasantly surprised that they had the units available and could start the work that day! There was a two-person crew that came in around 3:30 and was completely done and cleaned up by 10:30 pm. No small project. They were professional, competent and worked diligently to completion. We were quite impressed and what a big difference in the quality of air! We can say enough good things about Service Star, we definitely recommend them for all HVAC needs. GREAT job Service Star. Triple-A rating!!"

"This was the second time I have used Westbrook to service my air conditioner. I am very pleased with how honest and reliable the technicians are that work for this company. Never try and sell me on anything I don't need or want and perform the service quickly and efficiently. The technician went above and beyond today by fixing a leak with my blower unit. He cleaned out my drainage pipe inside the unit that was clogged and instead of a big ticket fix (that I was afraid of) he got it working again. No leak!. He also found a screw to fit the corner of the blower unit that had come out a few months ago and reattached it. I will never use anyone else but Westbrook to service my air conditioner and furnace."

"First visit restored functionality of the heating unit but left some necessary work for a second visit. The techs were a no-show for the second visit. When I called to follow up, I was advised they were trapped on another job site and couldn't meet the appointment, so we had to reschedule. The tech showed up as scheduled on the next appointment, and completed all the work he could do but had to schedule a third appointment to finish the work because he didn't have the materials with him to do so. It is important to note that my unit worked fine after the first service call, so all this follow-on work comprised testing the unit to determine why it failed in the first place (i.e., locate a probable freon leak), seal some leaking ductwork, installing an ionizer and replacing the lead line/filter between the compressor and the coil. Summary: knowledgeable and capable staff, pleasant people to deal with, reasonable pricing. However, they do not perform comprehensive assessments and work plans, so the whole repair/replace process can drag out into several visits. If you get the chance to work with Omar Martinez, you will find him prompt, courteous, and competent. Good guy - committed to making things right!"
