I recently purchased an HVAC diagnostic service from Purl's Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning.

My tenant in Clovis, CA notified me that his PG&E bill was an excessive $500 a month and he thought something might be  wrong with the HVAC System.  Consequently, I contacted Purl's Air Conditioning and purchased the HVAC Diagnostic Service.  The Diagnostic Service report recommended replacing the HVAC System or compressor.    

I have been a Landlord for more than 40 years and I have always made it a practice of getting two or three bids for any major repairs, whether it's for my own home or one of my rentals.  When one of the A/C Contractors inspected the HVAC system in the Clovis rental, he indicated to me that the major reason for the heat loss was due the following: "The return was completely disconnected and a 7" supply collar was disconnected and just blowing in the attic...".  I spoke with a local A/C Contractor that recently installed a new HVAC System in my home and he said the diagnostic service would have detected the duct problem on my rental unit. 

The main reason I only gave a "C" rating for the HVAC Diagnostic Service was due to the technician's failure to report the above described duct problem to me.

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"Ezra and his crew from Landmark construction energy crew replaced 13 wooden slider windows with double-hung UV and sound-dampening windows. When he came over, he measure all the windows and checked them to make sure that he will provide us with the best windows. Ezra and his supervisor arrived to my house right on time, more than that, his office contacted us before the meeting and when he was on the way to give us even more accurate estimate of when he would arrive. This consideration and respect continued throughout the process of installation. In total we had 4 workers working, led by Charlie, and they finished the job as predicted in approximately the same day. They cleaned up well and Charlie took time to answer our questions before leaving. There was a manufacturing problem that was not at all related to Ezra's work or his company. He called and talked to the manufacturer, making sure that they will deliver the new windows and he did all he could to make sure that the windows worked correctly, coming out and putting in additional time himself. The cleaners removed the window screen but while cleaning them, they destroyed my windows screen.

I have very high windows and the cleaners left behind water marks all over, did not look very good.
