"Really nice guy. Informative. Quickly confirmed issue, removed sweat-solder drain, replaced valve and tested repair, even called up later to confirm it was all working satisfactorily. If--when--I need a plumber again, I'll call John!"

"I questioned them about why I didn't get an owner's manual or any kind of owner's guarantee warranty and it took him a while to get back to me on that she didn't really give me a warranty they just said the warranty is through them, I thought that was kind of strange."

"Bruce was a consummate professional. He came out and assessed our old hot water tank, and then went to bat for us with the home warranty company for replacement approval. Once approved, he replaced the hot water tank quickly and was on his way, leaving the work area cleaner than when he got there. I highly recommend Glenrose Plumbing Service."

"They are good. We have been using them for a couple of years; they do a pretty nice job for us. We choose to go to them because of convenience; they are just a couple of miles away. I have no idea if their price compare well, I have not even checked with other places. They just do general auto repair. I would use their services again in the future."

"The actual job went well. They were on time and took care in doing a professional job. I had some questions that did not get answered as quickly I thought with the salesperson who does not work there any more. Once, I contacted his supervisor, everything was quickly answered to my satisfaction. In addition, I had them blow in some additional insulation."

"Austin Heating and Cooling is a rock solid professional organization that looks after your interests. We had no major problems in doing the work on time. Austin Heating and Cooling was proactive to save me thousands of dollars in assuring that AVISTA's rebate forms were properly filled out to the point that with all the rebates from converting from electricity to gas resulted in my out-of-pocket expenses were no more than 10% or the total cost. I will use them again to do the same thing in my other duplex"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Tensed, ID

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
