Owner, Jack, visited and we discussed where to put the cameras and price.  Jeff, the tech, arrived on the day of installation and installed the cameras, ran the wires in the attic and to the DVR.  It took a couple of hours.  He then set up the DVR to my router so I could not only view the cameras on a monitor but also on my phone and tablet at home and remote.  The only problem has been keeping the remote connection active.  Jeff has returned twice to set up my router.  It is presently all working fine. He also had to repair a drilled hole in a wall.

I just saw movement and looked over at the monitor and see that a spider is starting a web in front of the back camera.

I am pleased with all their work and will use them in the future a my lake house.

"Self installed is the only option. System works fine for the most part though we have had problems with the motion sensor cameras. Not that I have anything against FrontPoint, but if I were replacing system, I would probably go with Simply Safe now that they have cameras."

"We just replaced our outdated and expensive security system with Smith Thompson Security. Our contacts with sales and support were friendly and helpful. The installation technician said our old system was usable and up-gradable to the new technology. We added cameras as well. The tech was knowledgeable, friendly and full of tips on using the system. Total monthly cost for this new improved security was about half of what we were paying out to the old national company. So far, we are very, very pleased with our choice."

"I needed some haphazardly installed network cabling removed and replaced. Since a visit was required anyway, I suggested that they install a couple Ring cameras during the visit. The technician took a good bit of time to understand my requirements and limitations of the structure of the house. I thought he did a good job of determining the best way to complete the installation without any significant cosmetic changes (visible wires) on the exterior. I would use these guys again."
