"I had two bathrooms where the grout and caulking were brown and green. The bathrooms looked so bad that I should’ve taken a “before” picture. Now both bathrooms look like they are brand new and have never been touched. We love the work that was done and highly recommend Corey to anyone. Needing grout or tile work done. Thank you for everything."

"This 2 bedroom condo had THE most horrible smell. The previous owner treated the travertine with shea butter and rosemary oil. GAG! The smell permeated everything. Frantz and his brother came in in took care off everything. In fact, Franz texted me videos of the cleaning. We can't smell that gross odor anymore!!!!!!!! Love them!!! Will ALWAYS use them!!!!!!"

"Thank you to Supreme Steam for always doing a fantastic and professional job! My sectional couch, though only 1 year old, was very stained from children’s play and milk spills. Thanks to Supreme Steam, it looks brand new!"

"I would love to give Steve and his company an A rating because he was very nice, however, I have to be honest and thourough in my review. They did a lot of things right like returning calls and politeness, but they re-scheduled twice (in all fairness, another customer in the area cancelled so they re-scheduled ours too). One time an entire day went by before he called to re-schedule. Then, once hired for the job, the employee did not show so Steve came himself to pressure wash which we appreciated. The painter worked hard, but did get a lot of paint on our pool grout and several large drips in the pool that required special chemicals to remove it. Overall, the job was well done, but I feel it was their job to do the clean up of the drips and paint in the pool. Also, be aware they require 50% up front which we were not made aware of in advance. Steve did allow us to pay less up front and give them the remainder at the end of the second day. The only problem with that was we could not walk on the lanai to inspect the job and once we saw all the clean up we were left with, we had already paid the remaining balance and did not hear back from Steve after that. Next time, I would hold some of the money back until I was 100% satisfied."

"I highly recommend South American Flooring for any of your flooring needs. One of the things I like about this company is that you talk to the owner (Raimundo) since the beginning, and he is also the one putting the floor. This means you will not waste your time with a sales person that tells you one thing, and then the day of the project someone else is the one installing it. Raimundo was very attentive, professional, pays attention to detail, and ensures high quality work. He has a great attitude throughout the entire project, and he is resourceful whenever an obstacle comes its way. Also, once the job is done, if there is any unforeseen issues, he gladly fixes them. For example, one of my tiles had a chip that I didn’t notice until the job was done. I told Raimundo and he came that same week and removed the tile and put a new one at no extra charge. Do not look anywhere else, Raimundo is the right person to put your floor!"

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in The Villages, FL

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
