"We talked to three companies including Resolution Pest to address our issue with carpenter bees. Resolution Pest was the only company willing to come to our property and take a look and provide an estimate. One company wanted almost double the amount of the service we received without even coming out. John was professional and courteous and did fast and excellent work. I would highly recommend Resolution Pest for your pest control needs and should the need arise, we will be calling them again!"

"JML Pest control did a thorough job again. John Lohr explained the procedure carefully, including discussing the safe products he used. I feel that this is an excellent company to deal with."

"The guy found the hole and built a trap for the squirrels to go out but not back in. He eventually got rid of the trap when we no longer heard squirrels, but he wouldn't plug the hole permanently even though we requested it (my guess, he kept open the option of this happening again so he could get more business). I hired a local friend to plug the hole."

"

Modern completely eradicated an ant infestation in March 2015.  In July, Modern came to do maintenance spraying to prevent ants.  All interactions with Modern have been professional and polite.  Modern personnel answered all questions thoroughly.  They are very knowledgeable about insects and how to deal with them safely with kids and pets.  Rescheduling was needed and Modern was very flexible in accommodating my schedule.

"Having racoons in the attic was a harrowing experience for me and my family.
We called two other companies who were terrible and incompetent and  just delayed our agony for 6 weeks with no results.
We finally found AAA Wildlife and within the next few days they trapped the culprits in our house.
They also sealed all the entry points.
It has taken me over a year to write this review but I am finally able to sing their praises in writing.
This is a great company and I would highly recommend them.
They were wonderful!

"I believe the price was very fair, $125 with a 90 day guarantees and he did not try to talk me into a contract situation. As renters, I thought we would get and quot;railroadedand quot; into an expensive service contract since I was coordinating this service from out of state, but this company does not operate that way. I felt like I was working with my own family. The technician told me about his own children, and that they too live far away from home and he had experienced a similar problem in the past with them. He tries to operate his business as if he were helping family members instead of customers. This reminds me of my own father, who owned a car repair center. Dad would let his customers borrow his own personal car if they were in a jam. You don't see this service level anymore. Absolute Pest Services is refreshing and restores faith that there are honest and caring businesses out there.

Absolute used environmentally friendly products that had no odor, so my daughter and roommate were able to stay in the home while it was being treated. They had one sighting about two weeks after the initial treatment and Absolute promptly responded to address the issue. The company was very accommodating to work around the girls schedule and came after normal working hours to conduct the inspection/ treatment and did not charge for the after hours service. There have been no other pest issues with the property since Absolute Pest Control provided service there."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Thornton, PA

You're likely to find nesting birds in external areas such as your gutters, eaves, porches, and chimneys. Some birds also nest in less obvious spots, like attics or even in your ventilation systems if they gain access. A reputable pro will conduct an inspection before starting any work to check for evidence of where birds may have set up roosting or nesting sites in your home.

Leaving birds to roost and nest on your home creates significant risks that affect both your home's structure and your well-being. The constant droppings, aggressive swooping, and persistent noise can damage siding, allow moisture intrusion, and stain exterior finishes. In addition, the birds’ pecking and droppings can spread diseases and parasites, which can lead to escalating repair costs and health hazards.

Yes, humane removal is possible and ensures that birds remain unharmed during the extraction process. Experts use proven methods to safely capture and relocate both birds and their nests to secure environments. Professionals employ stainless steel spikes as a deterrent while avoiding harmful techniques such as poisons or glue traps. You can rely on trusted specialists who strictly use safe, noninjurious methods, thereby protecting the birds while resolving the nuisance.

Yes, there are legal considerations when removing birds and their nests. You must adhere to strict local and state regulations, which safeguard protected native species during nesting season. Special authorization is required to remove protected birds, their nests, or eggs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Observing these legal mandates avoids violations and ensures safe, responsible removal.

To prevent birds from returning after nest removal, you can implement deterrent methods. Installing stainless steel spikes creates a secure barrier that prevents birds from roosting without causing injury. In contrast, loose nets may entangle birds and other wildlife, creating additional hazards. A trusted professional will choose and install the optimal method to keep your home bird-free.

A bird’s nest remains viable for a period that depends on the species. The construction phase concludes within 2 days to 3 weeks, followed by a rearing stage lasting 2 to 10 weeks. Most birds become fully independent within 2 to 6 weeks, while certain predatory species require up to 2 1/2 months. This timeline can guide you on when it's safe to intervene.
