We did need a little warranty work done recently and they sent out a service technician who did what we asked courteously and professionally. "Matt came over and started on the job. While stripping the old paint off of the tub (it had been refinished before) he discovered the drain was corroded and needed to be replaced prior to refinishing. Matt stopped his work and I had to summon a plumber to replace the drain. It was a major pain and it took some time as the drain had been in there for over 20 years. Matt came back one week later and finished the job. I was not charged extra for the second trip and the bathtub came out beautiful. Matt kept us informed during the entire job and explained the process. We were very happy with the results and highly recommend Great Lakes Refinishing.

"I requested the guy I have used in the past and they originally scheduled him and then called and changed to a different guy. I told them I really wanted Joe as he always does a great job and I am very happy with him and did not want someone else. They sent a different guy and he changed the color of the caulk used on my bathtub which is too dark and does not match my grout. The caulk he replaced in the shower has bumps and bubbles. I complained about the color of the caulk while he was here and he said that if I did not like it, to call them back and he will come back and change it to a matching color with the grout (the way it was and from what I understand is how it is typically done). The owner called me back and was asking all kinds of questions. Clearly, they don't like to come back for anything and make things right. This is not the first time this has happened with this company. It seems they want to do their job, collect their money, and be done with you. I did complain that this happened before where caulk they had placed in a shower was bubbling and I told them I would pay for them to come fix it and it was like pulling teeth getting them here. He did give me a full refund but I will never use them again."

"It took about two and one half hours to do.  Smell is strong but that's what comes with it.  Looks beautiful.  Am wondering how long it will hold up with that shiny finish.  I had same tub done 10 yrs ago.  That held up reasonably well.  I'm concerned about this tub.  Looks too good to be true.
