"We initially were in contact with Mad City to replace our tub and shower surround but decided to hold off on that. We ended up working with Mad City to replace our front bay window, sliding patio door and a kitchen in the window and they were great. The quoting process was very easy and they worked with us on what we could afford to have done at this time. The delivery was as expected as far as timeframe. The installation exceeded our expectations! The install crew was very quick and respectful to our home and cleaned up everything before they left. There were two latches missing during delivery/install but they were in stock the following week and they sent a guy out to install. We would recommend at least talking with Mad City about your window or bath needs."

"In the end, I'm very pleased with my bathroom. It looks great and I feel that I received good value for my money. Which is why I'd recommend and hire again. However -- I have seen houses go up faster than my little bathroom updates were completed. First the estimate -- Bob came out right away and promised me an estimate that night or the next morning, but it was several days later that I received a not-very-professional estimate (I'm used to line items in an estimate so I know what the costs are... and I should have insisted on a time frame for completion). Next the glass (3 weeks became more like 6 due to issues with the first vendor and other unknown reasons. My guess is that the owner is not as organized as he could be and things fall through the cracks and were forgotten for a few days or more). That being said -- he was EXTREMELY responsive... no text or call went more than five minutes without being returned. He also was certain to make sure I was happy, replacing a few tiles I thought might be cracked and in general wanting to have a satisfied customer which I am. Steve -- who did the work -- was very friendly, punctual, and professional. Finally, I think his price was very fair and my bathroom went from looking like an afterthought to a showpiece. If time is not an issue, I'd hire Avalon again. If it is, I still might hire them -- but I'd get them to commit to a timeline and stick to it."

"It was a pleasure to work with Ron. He found that the bottom of the tub needed to be refinished, but the sides were in good shape -- so he only scraped the bottom and charged me less. He also saw that the outside of the tub had never been refinished and recommended leaving it as is. I appreciate a workman who tells me what doesn't need to be done, and then doesn't charge me for it! The tub looks beautiful, and Ron was pleasant, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with."

"Quick service, answered all questions.  They arrived on time and did a great job.  We had just moved into the house and the tub/shower in the guest bath looked "tired" and had some dings in it.  They repaired and refinished it.  The price was exactly as quoted.  The time of arrival and the time to completion were exactly as stated.  Left no mess - very neat.  There was a slight "chemical" smell after they left but it quickly dissapated.  And, most importantly, the tub/shower/surround look brand new!  Would recommend to others.

"I originally found Mark on Angie's List, with all the great reviews, I had to check him out.  I am a first time home  buyer and Mark helped me with weighing my options with FHA or Conventional.  We ended up going conventional with 5% down, which saved us a lot of money.

"These guys were great.  They were recommended by a neighbor who is very meticulous about his property - they did some house painting for him and his place looks great.  
First, they responded very promptly at my request for an estimate - they came out and did the estimate and gave me a quote right away.  Sometimes you can call 10 people and only have one call you back a week later - these guys called back right away and gave the estimate a day or two after that.  The estimate was not cheap, but based on their reputation I moved forward.  
Literally the day after I approved the work they had a crew out at my house.  The guys were all very professional - they had all the equipment and dropcloths and were very careful about keeping things neat.  Each day they checked in with me to ensure that I was happy with the progress that day.  There was some "surprise" work that they had to do - some wood around the roof had rotted and needed to be replaced, and they took care of that, painted my downspouts, patched some crumbling parts of my foundation.  
My house was in pretty bad shape before they started, and it looks completely different now.  I am extremely pleased with the work that was done and would absolutely hire them again to do work for me."

"I would not hire this company for additional work. The person they sent for the plumbing work was clearly out of his element and he complained constantly that he wasn't being paid enough to do this job. It probably took twice as long as it was suppose to take."
