"Everyone at Honest Appliance Service & Repair is outstanding! It's family owned and operated, which means they have great customer service and they guarantee their work. I called because my dryer stopped working and Anthony, the owner, was very knowledgeable about my situation and was happy to speak to me at length sharing his wisdom and experience. Before booking the appointment, I asked him (not holding him to any firm quote of course) about how much people usually spend to fix their dryer. He quoted me a price that was above average for what others paid, according to HomeAdvisor, but I figured out the reason why. Anthony wasn't just quoting me a cheap price to get my service. He was honest about the fact that when he ran his diagnostic test, it was common for more than one part to need replacing. He also shared that a lot of people decide they want to replace a part that may not be necessary broken at that moment but that would need to be replaced down the road. Instead of having to call for service again, they choose to replace the part at that time. It was clear that Anthony is really about serving his customers well, and treats each person as if they were a member of his own family. I was also able to speak to Jeremy, Anthony's son, who is a service tech. Jeremy was happy to speak to me at length about my dryer also, and had the same spirit of excellent customer service. Linda, in the office, was also great. They serve the whole valley, so I would encourage you put these guys in your phone for the next time you need them, or one of your friends needs a good recommendation! Christine Mitchell"

"The guy that showed up was informative but I was quoted $290 for a new fill valve (that they provide) or I could pay $212 for one that I provided. They also did not have the flapper on hand for my toilet (Kohler) that was supposed to be included with the $29 tune up deal and said there would be $69 charge for that."

"Vince came to look at my oven, which was only heating to 200°. He was very nice and professional. He confirmed the oven was not operating properly and suspected either the board was bad or the temp sensor. He did not have the sensor, so made another appointment to return. Unfortunately, the problem was not corrected with the new sensor. Vince only charged me for the $75 service call.

While my experience was positive, I am now suspicious about this company. On Angie's List they go by "Appliance Repair For Less." Their web site says they have a A+ rating with the BBB. However, I could not find their business name on the BBB. Their invoice has the name A-1 Appliance Repair.

A-1 Appliance Repair has a F rating with the BBB
.
This strikes me as suspicious and dishonest. I would never contract with a company that has such a low BBB rating.

"Our over-the-stove microwave began starting on its own.  At first, it only happened when we were boiling water on the stove below.  Within days, it began to start with no provocation, sometimes in the middle of the night.  If not stopped, it would keep running and grow very hot.  We were afraid it might come on while away or asleep, and start a fire.  While we unplugged it to prevent further run away conditions, living without a microwave was a problem.  We reached out for help.
Steve came to our home, assessed the problem and took the appliance apart.  He quickly isolated the problem.  It seems the motherboard had gotten moisture inside it.  The moisture had expanded when hot and damaged to board.
Steve ordered a new board and just replaced it.  Problem solved.
Throughout the process, Steve has been great.  He answered our questions, helped us explore alternative resolutions and kept us informed about the status of the parts.

"We could not have asked for an easier time with Mr. Bill. Our outdoor spigot was broken - there was just a dribble of water coming out. We found this deal on Angie's List and Mr. Bill contacted us to schedule a day and time to come and look at our spigot. He just asked me to send him a picture via text so that he could be prepared to fix it before he even got there. He came on a day when I wasn't even home, and he was able to replace it for an extremely reasonable fee, and now it work wonderfully. I would absolutely hire this service provider again!"

"The repairs went well and the people they sent were professional and stayed on the job until I was satisfied. Their limits do not cover the cost of major repairs but it is still cheaper than paying the total myself. They are prompt to respond that they are working on my work order. I live in a rural area and they have problems at times finding someone who will work with them in my area. The do offer to allow me to get the repairs done and they will reimburse. The one problem I had that made me unhappy was when my microwave broke they offered very little to replace it. AND, they would not replace it themselves nor do the installation as my contract stated they would."

"

The water softener manufacturer was going to have a day's delay.  Todd was able to get them to complete the order in time to meet the original install date.  The water softener was installed in the garage, the RO under the kitchen sink and 10 plastic valves were replaced with stainless in both bathrooms and the kitchen.

The water softener and RO are working great.  There are no drips or leaks from either system nor any of the replaced valves.

Todd and Larry know their trade.  Between the two of them all work was completed as scheduled.  When the job was completed, they cleaned up and it was hard to tell they were even there - other than new equipment.

I am very pleased with the results and customer service provided by Todd and Larry.

I think it was the air conditioner that went out. They replaced it, the whole thing. They were recommended to us by somebody who's been with them for years. And, like thank god because a year later the damn air conditioner went out. So we were able to use it."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Tonopah, AZ

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
