Customers say: True professional

"Everything went very smoothly. Work was completed expeditiously and exactly as agreed. The foreman Manny does beautiful work and manages his team well. The job site was left neat and clean at the end of each day, the workers respectful, and the results meticulous. Part of the job was straightforward: replacing stair treads, repointing brick, and pouring concrete. All was completed expertly. The other major part of the job was a complete rebuilding of a rough stone wall. Here's where Manny and the quality of the work really stood out to me. Not only was the rebuild was completed to spec (which included narrowing the footprint of the wall and patching the areas underneath), but the work was done with high attention to detail and taking the time and care to make the wall look as nice as possible. Well run and well managed outfit who care about doing the absolutely best job possible - would use again in a heartbeat."

"They explained their system and the installation process in detail. They were very flexible and worked with our schedule to finish installation of French drain system before sale of house. Extra foundation work was needed, and they did that as fast as possible"

"Roy's crew arrived when they were supposed to, removed the old patio, and poured the concrete for both areas which are next to each other. They had to temporarily remove a chain link fence to get the equipment in to remove the concrete. Did the whole job over two days and then replaced the fence and seeded areas of the grass that needed it. The crew and the foreman Joe, worked efficiently and were professional in manner. I would not hesitate to call Roy again if I needed concrete work."

"Foundation Experts has my highest recommendation. They are professional, on time, and simply a pleasure to work with. When the team came out to the property, they spent ample time on the premises, looked at every detail to ensure that the foundation evaluation is accurate and based on a thorough inspection.

"Workers came on time. They put up plastic sheeting to minimize the spread of dust and ran a ventilation fan to blow dust and dirt out of the house. Three workers came and they  hand carried concrete debris in buckets a long distance to the dump truck outside. They worked quickly and completed the job in one day to my surprise. This job included installation of a PVC drain pipe for the sump pump in a crawl space about 70 feet long. Not an easy job for them and at no additional cost to me. They cleaned up by sweeping the floor afterwards which was acceptable but I also needed to vacuum the area later. The plastic sheeting was not a perfect barrier (it fell) but was ok. They explained a little about the sump pump maintenance but not much about the battery back up. I thought the overall job was good and the workers worked very hard in a difficult condition.  I was impressed. It was costly but necessary. I see no mold and the musty odor in the basement is gone.

"The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . Bob Steck was very responsive, funny and thorough. Their team was very professional. Did the work just as promised - no issues with dust and dirt during and after the job). They started and finished on time ( took 2-days). The concrete is almost completely dry and have had one heavy rain so far- we are Very impressed by their work. Highly recommended."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Township Of Washington, NJ

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
