He also adjusted a ceiling fan that had been installed by a friend (a mistake -- use a professional!) and it took him only 15 minutes. "They were wonderful. The sq footage of the house is 1300sq foot, and it is one story. When I called them, I wanted them to come right out, but they said that it would be better to wait, until the tree had shed all it's leaves, or else it would fill right back up. They said to wait a week or so, and then they called and asked if the leaves were out, and I say yes, so they set up an appointment for the next week. They called on the day of the job, and said they had 4 jobs, and they kept calling during the day letting me know what time they were there. It was cold, and rain when they came, but they still did it, and they were wet, but they still did a great job doing it. I was tickled to death getting it done that cheap. They were very nice guys, and they were workmen. They were doing what they had to do, and they did it very professionally. They were just really good at what they did."

"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door.
