"Apollo and his crew showed up on time. This was a mobile home front door and wanted to replace it with a standard house door and add a Larson retractable screen storm door so had to open the door way height and width. The crew worked all day even during lunch there was someone working. The door was completed that day. I had to go purchase the Larson door and they came back the next morning finish the job. The crew and Apollo were professional and polite. The finished product turned out great. I will hire again for any more jobs that I need done."

"Since we needed to roof two homes, they brought two crews and each job was done separately. The entire process was very professional and actually very fast. The crew for this house caught a little bit of a break in that the roof is not steep, it just has a simply gable roof on a ranch-style home. This crew was top-notch, they cleaned up the job site everyday and also rolled a magnet over the area daily to keep the area free of nails. I am very happy with the end product and I feel very confident that the McFall family will fully stand behind their warranty. I highly recommend this family for building or roofing projects."

"I live in Maryland and rent out a double wide to tenants in Fort White Florida. The tenants had been complaining of exorbitant electric bills. I called Clay Electric out to the home to try and determine what was going on. They surmised it could be some sort of water leak. The trailer uses well water and the pump in the shed kept turning on and off constantly. <br /> I found David Brown Enterprises here on Angies List, and called them out to the home. David instantly determined the problem to be that 2 toilets were constantly running due to faulty flushing mechanisms. He replaced them and put in 2 brand new rubber flappers. He only charged me $95. The pump would constantly kick on and off to keep up with the running water. Now that the problem is fixed I'm hopeful the electric bill will be decreased dramatically. <br /> David could have taken advantage of my being an absentee landlord. However, he did not. In addition to being honest and knowledgable, his price was fair. When they simply returned my call they were already heads and shoulders above the crowd, as many contractors in Columbia County do not even return calls. I highly recommend David Brown Enterprises. <br /> Joel <br /> <br /> <br />"

"From start to finish, this is a great company to work with. After finding them on AL, I called to make the free consultation for an estimate. A date was set up and the owner, Curtis, showed up right on time. As I walked him through the house explaining what I wanted (which ended up being pretty abstract on some things) he took notes and made suggestions on things I wasn't sure of. He understood exactly what I was saying which was good because I wasn't 100 percent sure how to explain what I wanted in some areas! Within a few days, we received the estimate, which I thought was very competitive and reasonable. I also called 2 other Angie's List companies for estimates. Since this is about CJ, I won't go into those negative stories, but the estimate I got from one was a little higher (I never heard back from the other one) so I feel CJ’s price was good and fair. About 2 weeks after I received and accepted their contract, they commenced work. They explained they couldn't start sooner due to a job they were already working and told me they like to work straight through on a job so they can finish it fast and not bounce between 2 or 3 projects (like many companies do and really annoys me). That was good with me! I can't say enough about the quality of their work and hardworking, friendly employees. Curtis was there the first day to make sure the wall removal went right and checked in on most days. He also helped me make some aesthetic decisions I wasn't completely sure of like the column size/placement, how much wall to remove at the entrance and the direction of the tile. Within 4 weeks, the work was complete to my total satisfaction (including final inspection) and we received our final invoice. The 4 weeks was largely due to me or they probably would have been done in a week. I changed my mind numerous times on various things. I would call their office and talk to Lynette (VP and office Jack of all trades) and say "I think I want to add this or change that." She always responded pleasantly with No Problem, listened patiently to me ramble on (with lots of self-doubt on my decision making!) and never made me feel like I was being a pain, which I know I was LOL. Also, part of the holdup was our decision on tiling part or all of the areas except bedrooms AND selection of the tile. Picking a tile was super important to me and took me over 2 weeks which delayed their work and disrupted their work schedule, but they never pressured me to hurry. There was also a minor mistake due to a pinched wire which required a small removal of part of a wall in 3 areas. This was repaired immediately and it looks incredible. You would never know where it was replaced because their guy was absolutely amazing. In fact, all of his employees were excellent. They were conscientious, polite and always cleaned up any mess they made. One of the other things I love is how the floor turned out. It looks amazing and Ben, their employee who laid the tile, is an artist! He also consulted me on the direction of the tile (adding his much appreciated expert opinion as well) and really analyzed the project before even starting. It was a tedious process because with plank tiles, not only is it more important to have the grout lines absolutely perfect, you have to watch out for lippage due to the length of plank tiles. I've walked the floors, sliding my feet across and it feels perfect. The cuts he made around corners, etc. are impeccable. Also, tiling the kitchen was difficult because we have a wall dividing the kitchen from the family room. So, coming from the family room, he had to tile from the dining room on one side and the breakfast nook on the other and meet in the kitchen. It was perfect! I really love the floors and the more open look of my house! The walls turned out fantastic, it's great to be able to see out to my family room when washing dishes and I love the column. Everything turned out just as I wanted! Thank you Curtis, Lyn and team! From start to finish (and resolving the final punch list especially the vent in the guest bathroom!) you never disappointed. CJ Custom Carpentry is a top notch company that I would recommend to anyone and plan to use for any future remodeling."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Trenton, FL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
