"The floors came out very nicely. the stain plus two coats of oil-based polyurethane really gave the floor a great satin finish. They could have done a better job of dust control. Only when I asked the workers to isolate the kitchen did they put up plastic sheeting but that was between sandings so dust had already infiltrated everything. Wiping down every shelf and horizontal surface has been a big pain. The dust even landed upstairs in the bedrooms. They left rub marks on my walls from the equipment hoses or power cords. They also forgot to plug in my clothes dryer. (They used the 220v outlet for the floor sander.) Their price was the best though and i only point out the negatives to help others avoid the dust problem. I wish I had known about dust mitigation techniques so I could have insisted more firmly on taping thoroughly plastic sheeting over doorways to keep the fine dust out. My house was empty before I moved in so that made the project a lot easier."

"FloorTechs refinished oak, hard wood floors for two rooms and the stairs to match existing flooring. They did so beautifully for a very reasonable price! I scheduled them to return the following week to install kitchen flooring. They went to Home Depot to pick up materials I had ordered only to discover they had ordered the wrong materials! In spite of the error and a wasted day, FloorTechs was gracious and helpful as I restarted the flooring search. Randy gave me advice and even told me things I didn t want to hear so thatI was prepared for what I was going to face. I appreciated his honesty and forthright communication. Today they returned to install the kitchen floors and they are beautifully done. I cannot recommend FloorTechs highly enough. You will NOT be sorry you chose them!"

"We had a particularly difficult job as the floors were very old and peeling, with additional damage from dogs.  All the flooring in the kitchen and living room had to be torn up and replaced.  There was some difficulty in ordering materials which we believe was due to the vendor not the owner of the floor company, but the owners were able to provide substitute wood which we ended up liking more than the original choice.  The crew of three were all cheerful workers who spent four days ripping out the wood and carefully replacing the new wood.
While the owners (Javier and Marielis) did not come and look at the progress of the job while it was going on, we felt they had enough confidence in their workers that they probably did not need to come over.   And indeed the foreman of the crew was scrupulous about taking care of details which we mentioned as the work was being done.  Several minor difficulties came up due to the age of the original floor but the crew took care of them.
We were very pleased at the final look of our house which now looks refreshed and up to date.  We would recommend Madera to anyone seeking a quality job completed in a reasonable time frame.

The lead man has been with his boss for exactly 20 years, since he was 16 years old. He did all of the stair work, beautifully. The second day he came alone and finished the job. "Larry did what he said he would do at the price he said, and was a pleasure to work with . We will use him again. His repair work replacing instead of just cutting or plugging pieces is true craftsmanship. He took a little longer to do the job right ,stood by his price, and it all shows in the results. I would not go to anyone except Larry Morris for wood floors. As a separate project after,he put new hardwood in the kitchen and did a great job there as well.

"Let me start by saying I am a DIYer and was going back-and-forth in my head on whether I was going to do this job myself. However, I know that sanding hardwood floors is a scale and if you mess it up you have to live with that mistake. I researched local Fredericksburg hardwood floor resurfacing companies and found capital flooring. Nelson responded to my request within 30 minutes and came out that same day to give me a price quote. I was surprised at the cost of the total job. I was even a little skeptical at first. I’ve talk to locals who’ve stated there are some real scams out there. THIS IS NOT A SCAM! We scheduled a date and his crew showed up on time the morning of. It’s incredible how fast they work and how exceptionally well the floors look. They are very professional and proficient. They put plastic up all around the areas that accessed other rooms to keep the dust down. They even forewarned me every time they were turning the machine on because it’s loud. I’m so glad I hired capital flooring and I am exceptionally pleased with the product. They sanded off the top layer of my hardwood floors, mixed a stain that matched my new vinyl floors, and applied two coats of oil based polyurethane for the finish. They also installed, and stained flush registers for my exposed ducts and stained new transition pieces to go from hardwood to vinyl flooring. I have already recommended capital flooring to multiple friends and will continue to do so!"
