We hired John Wood of JAW Construction to transform a building shell originally intended to be a shop for building trusses into a small house (officially an auxiliary dwelling unit or ADU) and are thrilled we found him. The job required skills that extended beyond new construction to include the insight, skill and craftsmanship of a highly experienced remodeling expert. He possessed these in spades. Beyond his own expertise, he has assembled a set of sub-contractors that are excellent craftsmen in their own areas of expertise. The job was doubly challenging given that for much of the construction period we were out of state getting our old home ready for sale. This also meant that an extra element of trust was involved. John sent us pictures of the progress, so that we could monitor from a distance. In addition, he was able to identify and rectify several flaws in our design. As with any large construction/remodeling project, there were some unexpected expenses that came up, but John worked with us to help limit cost overruns, sometimes foregoing profits. He was also always up front about the costs of the various components. Our new home is gorgeous and reflects his sharp eye for detail. We couldn’t be happier. In short, if you want a highly skilled, trustworthy, hardworking contractor for your large (or small) job, we highly recommend John Wood of JAW Construction."

"Hired integrity construction to raise a small section of an attic ceiling to match the height and shape of the rest of the ceiling and to make a half bath bigger by moving a wall into some dead space. Their framing, drywall installation, mudding and taping were excellent. Their suggestions on how to make the bathroom bigger were great and resulted in a tiny half bath becoming a roomy one. These people know their stuff. Will definitely call them again for my next remodeling project."

"I had a 15 foot section of sidewalk the city mandated required replacement. Toro DEMOd and replaced the sidewalk in one day. The work was clean and defect free. Further complicating it was the sidewalk had a 4 foot wide section to a 5 foot wide section. They measured and lined out the frames to cleanly taper it in to the point where it is not noticed at all. Will definitely call them again for future projects. Will definitely call them again for more projects."

"In February 2025, I hired Steve Gardner, Gardner Custom Construction LLC to complete the renovation of a house in Camas, Washington. The house was built in 1926. The previous contractor defaulted in August 2024. The defaulted contractor left the house in a semi-demolished state…a better word is a “mess”…..floors were removed and catwalks were left in their place, posts holes were dug in the unfinished basement and left unfilled, etc. In June 2025, Steve Gardner and crew completed all of the renovation in accordance with my scope of work and permit. They did an excellent job. Steve is customer oriented when changes are requested. I will give him credit for taking on this difficult job. His bid for completing the renovation was fair. He did not “nickel and dime” me in the renovation. I would hire him again for another renovation. I highly recommend him for your next contractor. Thank you Steve and crew…you gave the house another 99 years of life."
