"He arrived and I explained what was needed and he gave a reasonable quote which was also the final price. In a few days he returned at the time on which we agreed. He did a very professional job and used very good equipment to install the drip system. His work with the cactus and tree trimming also pleased me. I have waited six weeks to write this review because I wanted to make sure everything worked. It does and I am very pleased."

"Overall the project was fantastic, and Seth was great to work with. From taking the concept my wife had, Seth drew up a plan with everything she asked for, and we were able to scale back where needed for budgeting purposes, so he helped us rework from the original design to where we ultimately landed. Timing - he began on time, and finished early. Project lasted a total of 5 weeks. Budget - he was spot on to the original budget. We did make changes to some items, and he kept a running change list that was helpful to keep us on track. Team - The guys were amazing, and took exceptional pride in their work. I got to chat them up quite a bit, and they’ve been with Seth for many years - which was an awesome sign, because I’m guessing you don’t stay of things aren’t going well. They were here everyday from 7-3:30, and the few times that they weren’t, we had a heads up. We even got a heads up when it wouldn’t be the full crew. Communication - pretty sharp, zero complaints here. We knew what was going on, when it was happening, and Seth was here almost everyday for at least a period of time. Overall, they were great - and we will use them again for our front yard, hopefully sooner rather than later."

"My gardener replaced 3 valves and suddenly those valves could not be turned on automatically. I suspect it?s a wiring issue because the timer worked perfectly prior to this. 1) Chris came and spend 45 minutes testing, left with bare wires untouched. 2) with bare spots still on those wires, he insisted I need a new timer.3) next day he came did more tests and found timer was fine, wires needed to be tidy up. 4) wanted to replace a leaky valve but would not give me a straight price quote, saying just labor plus parts. 5) spend total 2 hour and 15 minute to finally fixed the problem. No digging no cutting just tidy up the wires and replace a valve. 6) insist to charged me 3 hour labor for 2 hour and 15 minutes work(including time wasted persuading me need a new timer), cause he needed to count in travel time (which is 4 minutes drive from me according to his business address). Total $415. I?m sad ppl don?t take pride in their work and over charge their customers. Feel taken advantage."

"Rich Durbin is a stand up guy, very professional. Came out and did the estimate on replacing my sprinkler control valves which were very old(40+). He even comes out and does most of the work himself which is a big plus in my book. He even lowered the total price on completion of the job because it was less work than originally quoted, a nice surprise for me. Over all very easy to deal with, shows up when he says he will and gets the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommended."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Twin Peaks, CA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
