Ignacio's design took our breath away. The texture and color of the stamped concrete is beautiful. The extra patio space transformed an ugly weird patio to a masterpiece. The flagstone topped retaining walls easily provides seating for more people than we know. "We have never seen such quality work.  Our retaining wall holds up a steep hillside.  Two prior retaining walls had failed.  I know the retaining wall that LEBEC designed and constructed will never fail.   LEBEC designed and built a special keyway retaining wall (like a keel on a boat).  The wall was reinforced with 5/8 inch thick rebar that was completely tied together and that also had "J bars".  They also used a special wicking type material on the back side of the wall to carry water away from the wall.  They also used perforated pipe wrapped in filter fabric and 3/8 crushed drain rock behind the wall.  I have never seen such excellent construction, even on very large construction projects.  Armando was the supervisor, and he was working on the project the entire time.  Armando has 30 years of experience and it showed.  Everything was done in a smart and efficient way.  Armando and his crew had to drive a very long way in Bay Area traffic to get to our home but they still arrived early and worked hard all day long. Armando is bilingual so it was very easy to communicate with him.  Armando and his crew became our friends and we were happy to see them come each day.  They would always leave our home and yard neat and clean when they left each day.  We were so happy with their work that we have signed a second contract with LEBEC for a second retaining wall. <br />"
