"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"Inspector showed up right on time and began his inspection. He brought air sampling devices, infrared camera, etc. to do a quite comprehensive home and mold inspection. He checked all items of concern regarding the plumbing, electrical, air conditioning unit, etc. I was extremely impressed by the scope of the inspection and knowledge of the inspector. I chose them because the have all the legitimate certifications. They where there for over two hours and the report I received shortly thereafter was very informative and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a home or mold inspection."

"I called Synergy based on Angie's list reviews for removal of popcorn ceiling as it had asbestos. Yes, I had it tested and the results showed it had asbestos and needs an abatement company to remove it. I had an estimate from another company that was referred by our contractor. I thought that quote was outrageous and wanted another opinion. Synergy sent their estimator(Robert) in couple of days. I got the quote the same day evening and it was very reasonable. So I decided to go with the offer and scheduled the work. I had to postpone the work by a week due to delay in moving but they were very nice and worked with me to schedule the very next week as other remodel work was starting right after, On the day of the work, Joe (foreman) + another worker showed up on time and completed all the work in three days (as per the estimate). Since we had moved out of the house for remodeling, we had no issues with existing fixtures or furnitures being at the house. So I did not have to deal with any breakages or incorrect handling. The abatement work itself proceeded with no surprises and they had removed the ceiling fixtures as they said they would, and left the last layer of plastic sheets covering for the walls and floor for painting(as they said they would). So nothing unexpected. They were thorough to set proper expectation and met them. I just completed the abatement last Friday and am expecting the final docs to be shipped to me. Since I paid after the work was complete, I am just waiting for the air sample results, permit docs, final paperwork etc from them. I would recommend them strongly. I hate to leave a review saying how much it cost as every job is different. I did the abatement with the permit and the quote was almost half of the another company. But don't use that as a benchmark, but it was in my case. I am only highlighting that part to show they are priced reasonably. I am glad I called them."

"I suspected the presence of mold in our first floor due to an allergic reaction and a previous leak in the area.  John Riera and his son came, took moisture readings and air samples.  In addition, John was able to troubleshoot and provide other possible causes/solutions to the allergies.  He produced a detailed report with good advice.  The service is pricier than other mold inspection companies, but I like that there is no potential conflict as he does not do remediation, and that his expertise extends to other chemical contaminants."

"Very good. Here are the details: called a number of companies that do sump pump work. Only these guys and another vinyl sheeting company came to the site. I chose these guys because their upsell wasn't as strong and I appreciated that. Our crawl space has a lot of ducting and not much space to crawl. They removed dirt, installed the plastic barrier and then the vinyl (?) sheeting. Epoxied it to the house. Finished as expected. Once they left, I went under the house and was very happy with the install  - the points of attachment and fastening were strong and numerous. I was able to get around easily. The best part is the house now is smell free. I started by wanting a sump pump and ended with something altogether different, but I think my initial idea was bringing a garden hose to a forest fire. This is the way to go. <br />"

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Vallejo, CA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
