He did the stairs and then we called him back for more work , so happy to have found him !! It s hard to find a good carpenter that really knows what their doing . Who really knows his trade. So then he did our cabinets crown molding and and all the decorative details. Beautiful !! Also our vanities in 3 bathrooms, the doors throughout the house , all the trim . I could go one all day . "Within days of purchasing the deal, I received the instructions and paper to draw my table templates. The table has 2 drop leaves plus 2 additional leaves that can be inserted in the table. The templates were pretty easy to draw. The finished pads were delivered in a very short time. They fit the table and each of the 4 leaves perfectly and magnetically lock together to keep them aligned when on the table. A year and a half later, I still love these pads."

"My wife and I were very happy with the professionalism, courteousness and friendly demeanor exhibited by all of the Premier tradesmen assigned to our project. ?They were quick to explain what they were doing and what would ?be done next. ?We ran into a snag on our part when the paint chosen for the basement walls did not look as we had expected. ?They did not blink when my wife changed the paint, fortunately we were able to use that basement paint on another project. ?We used a separate company to install flooring in our kitchen and bathroom. Coordinating the two companies was extremely easy to do. ?The office staff was very accommodating and able to schedule work with little delay. ? I was having the interior of my house completely redone and suddenly the painter (different company) didn't want to bother with the ornate balusters on the main staircase.  He said the handcarved cutouts made the job too complicated and cost prohibitive and I should just leave them painted the color they were.

A few months earlier, I had purchased an eight hour "Big Deal" package from Michael's Work through Angie's List, so I gave them a call.  Michael came right over to check out the job and brought his worker, Joe.  I asked Joe if he thought he could get very many of the staircase spindles finished in eight hours and he said, "No problem.  What do you want me to do when I finish the stairs?"  Joe proceeded to do an excellent job on the spindles and then tackled the French doors, which contained multiple 100-year old panes of leaded glass. (Another project my painter had refused.)  Joe's painting was perfect and quick; both Joe and Michael were professional, courteous and very pleasant to deal with.  The prep work and cleanup were both A+.  Bottom line, I wish I had hired Michael's Work to paint my whole house, top to bottom.  Next time I will!

"GCS did an excellent job executing a pretty complicated project. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. The bid that Dennis provided was very detailed and thorough. He came by several times to take measurements and ask questions about our intentions and goals for the project. He also had his electrical and HVAC subcontractors contact us to gather information about the project. It took about two weeks for the bid to be completed, which caused us to get a little impatient, but the final result was far more complete and thorough than any of the other bids we received. The cost was also very competitive. Work started soon after we signed the contract. Dennis did a very good job of coordinating the the tasks, including bringing the various subcontractors to the site in a timely manner, and within about 6 weeks we had the foundations poured and the basic framing done on the 8'x10' kitchen addition and the 16'x20' 1st floor bedroom/basement addition. Dennis' team were receptive to the changes to the plan (there will always be changes to the plan) that we asked for. The changes were documented, invoiced and priced reasonably. There was a lot of inside work to perform, so that took another 3 months or so. Insulation, drywalling, drywall finishing, carpet removal and installation, removal of the old kitchen cabinets and appliances, etc. Again, Dennis did a good job of scheduling the various specialists to come in and do their thing. Dennis was very responsive to any issues or concerns that came up through text messaging or by phone. Problems: Main issue was that the pace of work in the middle of the project was slower than we would have liked. This was mostly an issue with one individual worker. Overall: We are very happy with the results of the project and would recommend GCS highly. Attached picture is of the kitchen interior just prior to completion. It is exactly what we had envisioned."
