While he was at our home installing them, I asked if heâ d ever made a mantel for a fire placeâ ¦.he had not. But said he was willing to learn. Itâ s a corner fireplace so had to also have the wood for the open top. We also challenged him to make a hidden bookshelf door for under our stairway. He had never made one before. He took the challenge and did an amazing job. Once those were completed, we had him do two more hidden doors.
