"We were pleased with the customer service, skill set and careful attention provided by Indiana Foundation during last week's waterproofing work on our basement. Josh Solomon and Noah Salisbury were diligent in their attention to our questions and concerns, going the extra mile to ensure a quality installation that met our needs. Our basement is already drier and we hope to build it out for a play/rec room soon."

"My home (crawlspace) was inspected recently by Foundation Recovery Systems. We were given very helpful information on improving our situation with waterproofing/encapsulation of the space. The owner was professional with his presentation/service. We were very satisfied."

"Both gentlemen were very friendly, nice and polite. One gentleman was a smoker, but he picked up all his butts before he left and did not smoke in either the truck, the house or near anyone. I found this remarkable and would like to be able to say thank you personally. The initial quote for the job was also very well done. The person that came out was professional, showed up on time, and explained all steps (including why the basement was leaking and how they would fix it). Over-all I would highly recommend B-Dry to anyone."

"We had a good experience with them. He has been out a few times and the first time he came he had a bid to us within a week. The second time he came back out at our request and gave us another bid the same day. He is scheduled to start work in either September or October. He was very responsive to phone calls and called us back promptly. We asked him to come back and look at something else because we had a couple of other people in. He came back out right away. The guy was very nice, acted very professionally and was pretty good all the way around; we liked him. We decided to use him because we got the best value for service. We thought he would be able to fix the problem and it was a cost effective way to do it. They were very responsive."

"Very good service across the board. Sales professional was punctual, knowledgeable, and polite. Our concerns were addressed and solution provided. The man that performed the work was great as well, he explained the work again and was done on time. The job came in well under budget, and we honestly wouldn't have known, they could have charged us the full amount but didn't. One note: This job was to address water seeping in through a crack in the basement and we haven't had much precipitation since the job has been done. While I have confidence that the problem is solved, I don't have any real proof yet."

"One of the most impressive things about A-1 Masonry is their attention to detail on the brickwork.   They made sure that we had a good match for our 20 yr old house brick and recommended the waterproofing. <br /> But just as important is their customer communications.    They always returned our calls quickly and kept appointments on time. A couple years ago, we had some unpleasant experiences with another company that were horrible at communicating with us and getting work done when they said they would.  But A-1 Masonry was the complete opposite, and we were very impressed by their professionalism and timeliness.   <br /> The labor and materials estimate (in writing), and the time it would take to do the work, was spot on....No surprises.  The work was done in about a day, and they complimented their work by cleaning up the area and moving the landscape rock, that had been against the brick, back in place....Even better than it was before.   <br /> The owner, Mike, was friendly and professional.   This company was recommended to us by a friend who does masonry in another city, and the business that provided the materials had high recommendations for A-1 Masonry as well. <br /> We are extremely impressed by A-1 Masonry and would highly recommend them.   In fact we are having them do another project on our house.   Great job and extremely satisfied. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I found Dorian Dyer's original paintings to be thought provoking and yet peaceful at the same time. <br /> He creates scenes of a simple and pure love using subjects such as eagles, geese, buffalo, people, the Earth, and the cosmos.  All of Dorian's art expresses a connection with one another and all life.   <br /> With an initial gaze at Dorian's paintings you may see an abstract or New Age piece of art, but when you relax and take a few moments to look deeper, an inner knowing of the masterpiece of all life will come forward.  There is love, beauty, and a gentle reminder of God's presence within each piece of art. <br /> <br />"

"<br /> Prior to this job, I had never hired a general contractor to work on my home or property. I had either done the work myself or hired sub-contractors to do work beyond my abilities (ie ? masonry). I took time in finding someone I thought I could trust and who seemed truly interested in the job. I signed a contract with Renew Concepts in late July. Initially, Mark planned to complete the job by the first week in September. Work did not begin until the second week in August, but this was expected. <br /> <br /> Mark started with tree removal and the removal truck promptly broke down. It sat in my yard with my back fence removed for about 10 days with no progress made on any of the work. I believe the tree work was finished at the end of August. <br /> <br /> Driveway and yard excavation was next and this took little time. Unfortunately, weeks passed before any concrete was poured. The garage masonry, dry well, and underground electrical work was done during this time. The excavation, electrical, and well work seemed well-done but constituted only a few days worth of work during the weeks that passed. <br /> <br /> The patio and drive were poured in two parts. When the drive was poured, no work was performed during the initial curing process. After 2 weeks (I think) subcontractors came in to complete the garage roof and construction for the garage door. <br /> <br /> In October, the yard was then graded and the work was more or less done in the yard except for the clean-up and replaced fencing. Mark began construction of the composite deck and completed the relief cuts for the concrete and the drains for the downspouts. This took weeks. <br /> <br /> In early November, Mark completed the new fencing at the back of the yard and between the garage and house. The deck was also completed. Final clean-up was done in mid-November. <br /> <br /> All this work was of good quality and met or exceeded my expectations. Mark uses quality materials and is careful about his work and the work of his sub-contractors. The main issue, obviously, is that this job took so long to complete. My first payment was in late July and the final payment was Nov. 30. Mechanical breakdowns, illness, and injuries kept Mark from being able to stay on top of the job and time just kept passing by. <br /> <br /> I am a patient person in general, but the passage of time wore on my family and me. Frankly, except for the excavation and concrete, I could have done all of the work in the same time frame for less money. Mark did his best to make-up for the delay. He is a personable and intelligent business owner, but seemed to lack the resources to find solutions to the delays. He was unable to find another contractor to fill in when he was incapacitated and had a limited number of employees that he could trust to do the work to his satisfaction.  Note: when Mark came by recently to fix a problem with the deck, he mentioned that he is looking for a manager. This may solve delay problems. <br />   <br /> There are other lesser issues with the work, such as multiple rebuilds for parts of the deck, but these were all solved quickly and to my satisfaction. The cost of the work was reasonable and Renew Concepts goes out of its way to recycle or reuse material, making the job a bit more environmentally sound. Mark was readily available by phone and tried to keep me up-to-date regarding delays and other changes. Even though the work took far too long, I never felt as if I were being scammed or deceived in any way. <br /> <br /> I checked that I would not hire this contractor again; yet, the work was good enough that I may be persuaded to hire them again on a small job to give the company a chance to redeem itself. <br />"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Villa Grove, IL

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
