"I had a shower remodel done in 2017 that was not done correctly and had been leaking under the tile until it finally broke thru the ceiling below and made me aware of the leak. My previous contractor was not responding to calls/texts, so I started the search for a new contractor.  I found Patriot Flooring through a google search that led me to Angie's list. I read their bio and reviews and gave them a call. I spoke with owner James on the phone and he came out within the next few days for a free estimate. He was on time and nice, but he gave me a quote that was more than what I was expecting. I learned when I got a 2nd estimate that James estimate was more than fair and I felt a good vibe with James and Tammy (owners) from phone and text, so I scheduled the remodel.  They showed up on time for the work EVERYDAY! They worked EVERYDAY, no slacking, no coming in late or leaving early, these guys actually worked til they could work no more for the day... and this was driving all the way from Hampton to VB every day. They cleaned up after themselves, they were polite and their work is beautiful! In this covid day and age it seems harder and harder to find people who actually want to work, Patriot is one of those few and I will most definitely use them again and recommend them. I really felt like family with Tammy, they truly cared about my family and have such integrity in their work, they truly stand behind their job well done. Not to mention, their pricing and workmanship are top notch!  Loving my new shower / bath, they truly made it a low stress process, even when they had to replace my entire subfloor due to water damage! Not having to worry about them not showing up or surprise fees.. it was refreshing! Their work speaks for itself, but the people behind this company are what truly gets my vote. Thank you! =)"

"Marty Milner restored the shower in our master bathroom. A previous owner has applied a latex grout on top of the stone grout. , and it was starting to peel. Marty painstakingly stripped out the latex grout, cleaned and repaired the underlying stone grout, applied sealer and caulked the corners. He worked hard and completed the work in about 8 hours, divided between two days. This kind of work is not inexpensive (given the time involved), but we believe it to be a good investment."

"We are totally happy with our experience with the Brick Doctor. Our 60 year old house had front and back steps that had lost quite a bit of mortar. The front porch, made of broken tile with a brick border , needed the entire border of mortar replaced, and some cracks repaired. Kenny is a true craftsman and a hard worker. He was easy to deal with and we worked together to schedule the repairs. He is a skilled professional, and it was obvious that he takes pride in his work and gives attention to detail. Throughout the process he consulted with us to mke sure we understood what he was going to do. All of the repairs were made, including replacing some broken bricks. "I called Mike after one of the boards from the gable came off during a storm and noticed the others looked to be in bad shape as well. Mike was very able to give us an estimate from a picture I emailed him and said he would check the boards on the other side of the house when he came out. We ultimately ended up deciding to replace the slats on both ends of the house the day work was to begin. The crew removed all the old wood and cut the new boards to match the size of the old slats. They then painted, caulked and also replaced the screen located behind the slats. The weather was not cooperating the first day and it started to rain after the slats were down, but they made sure the house was properly protected till work could resume. They also worked late when they returned to finish up the bulk of the job. Mike and his guys were all friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and quick to address any concerns I had- they really want a person to be happy with the end result. We were very pleased with quality of the work and would hire again."

"Excellent! End product looks amazing! Incredible meticulous with all the little corners of the floor and paint on trim got into all the little spots without getting on the windows. Right on time, incredibly professional, obvious that they have lots of experience! Had masks to wear and were very careful to clean everything up. Already have other projects I am thinking of having them do."

"I found Lynn on Angie's list and called to set up an estimate. He estimated rather low for the actual time that it took to complete the job (his estimate was $98--based on the assumption that the job would take a few hours.) He provided the tools (I had already purchased most materials), which was a blessing since the tile store had given me the wrong kind of tile-cutter. Lynn did an excellent job with the installation (the rock was crumbly and turned out to be difficult to work with). He created a side border with the marble bricks that made a clean even border between the backsplash and the painted wall. He cut the pieces with appropriate precision and worked with care and focus until the job was done. I decided to pay him more than we had agreed to when I saw how much longer the work actually took (2 days instead of the couple of hours he had predicted), but he was very gracious and probably would have accepted the original estimate. He's a man of integrity and skill."
