"Shaw's were absolutely awesome. Had an emergency need when a pipe broke, and they were the only ones willing to come and fix it that night so we weren't without water. Also reasonably priced, great service, and super friendly. Would highly recommend!"

"WE had a whole-house filter problem that necessitated shutting off the water supply completely. Nick arrived about an hour after we called him (on a week-end, too!) He immediately determined an alternate water supply arrangement and also was extremely helpful in choosing a new filter assembly. He picked it up and installed it after re-designing the water pipe routing so the new filter could be isolated from the water supply in case of future filter problems. Nick was professional, friendly, expert in his work and very reasonable in the billing amount. He is now my "go to" plumber for any future plumbing issues. I have also highly recommend him to a friend who rents a number of homes and has occasional need of a plumber of Nick's qualifications. He deserves a "six-star" rating!"

"Tom always arrived when he said he would, and he was finished working when he said he would be. He suggested very nice 16and quot; tile with a beautiful accent strip for the shower surround. The shower has a nice tile bench with rounded corners that are not sharp to sit on. <br /> In addition, we asked Tom if he knew anyone who could fix a bedroom door that would not close, and he said he could fix it himself. He took the door of its hinges, shaved off the top, and remounted it. He did not charge us anything for that, even when we offered to pay."

"Had plumbing issues for over a month and our landlord was slow to get started on the fix. Called these people, told our situation, called the landlord, had them set up an appointment - and in minutes a date was set (was doable within the week - unlike most jobs we've come across). They came first thing in the morning on the given date (VERY punctual), dug up the spot of the problems within just a few minutes... and they couldn't fix it, since the problem was caused by an AT&T fiberwire literally cutting THROUGH our sewer pipe! They left to get some supplies and CAME RIGHT BACK (too many maintenance folks say they'll get supplies at the store and don't come back UNTIL NEXT WEEK) to place up caution tape and clean up their mess. It's too bad that they couldn't fix our pipe (since it's AT&T's wire they'd have to go through now), but their service was exceptional. Definitely recommend! [PS: The prince listed on Project Cost would've been the price we had to pay if they were able to fix]"

"I was referred to Ron's express by his brother who owns Ballard plumbing (cheaper but not able to meet my timeline). I called Tuesday afternoon and was given a price that was inline with the high side of average, and was told that they would be out in the morning around 830-900. They called at 930 to let me know they were on their way. they arrived at 945 ready to work. They were professional and quick. During the inspection, they noticed that the water heaters that I installed were not up to code. They explained what needed to do for it to be fixed and how the inspector may see it during the gas inspection and that would cause reinspection fees. I decided to pay for them to do the work on the spot. they estimated one hour but it ended up taking two. The total bill went from 230 to 445 due to this but it needed to be done and was worth the cost. 1hr after they left, the city inspector showed up and signed it off with no issues. They went and pulled the permit and coordinated for him to come out. About 30 min after the inspector left, the gas company came to turn all the gas on. Everything worked as it should I felt that the price for the extra work was higher than it should have been, but the professionalism and excellent coordination on their part were worth the high price. <br />"

"Could not be happier. They were available to answer our questions throughout the project. Made suggestions for our consideration, not demands as others have. Professional, personable and Friendly personnel. I cannot say enough good things about the company and their personnel! They do it all and they do it Right! Their after-installation service is great. They offer a yearly maintenance contract that is very affordable and, as always, their service techs are the height of courtesy and professionalism. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Ward, AR

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
