"Vincent came to the condo to help install a wall mounted fan that plugs into a standard grounded outlet. When I told Vincent that the outlet I wanted to use didn't have power, he was able to draw upon his knowledge as an electrician and engineer to troubleshoot each part of the circuit from the breaker to the outlet to determine why the outlet didn't have power. Vincent determined that the circuit was connected to an outside outlet and that the GFI on the outside outlet had been tripped at some point, causing the rest of the circuit to stop. He replaced the outside outlet with a new GFI and verified that all outlets on the circuit worked. Then, he installed the brackets and mount for the fan and verified that everything worked. He assessed the problem with the leaking valve, offered 2 solutions with clear pricing and clear reasoning as to why he recommended the slightly more expensive one (much less likely to fail in the future!). He accomplished the work quickly, showed me the completed work, and showed me why the other valve had failed, AND the area was clean and dry when he was done.
