"Had a great experience with these guys! Great communication; they were able to work with me to find dates that worked with my schedule. During the days of construction the crews were easy to work with, clean and worked efficiently. Would definitely hire again in the future."

"We were putting our house on the market after having renters for a few years and needed it to be show ready. We found this contractor here on Angie's list and he had great reviews.  Mr. Quiocho came out and we told him what we thought was a necessity and asked him to take a look and see if he had any suggestions as well.  He didn't try and get us to completely redo the entire house.  He gave us a list of what things (small or big) that he noticed had been damaged or worn from our tenants and what he recommended to get the house ready for sale.  He was extremely fair in his suggestions and even when we said some things that we wanted to do were out of our budget, he looked around for different materials that would help lower our costs.  He finished up the work fairly quickly especially since this was all during the holiday season and even directed us to a real estate agent. After we put our house on the market and received/accepted an offer, our inspection required us to do a few more things. So we called him back out and in a matter of days he had the list completed that we needed for our inspection. If I lived in the area I would be telling every neighbor i had to hire him.  I am very pleased with his work and would definitely recommend him if you are needing anything done around the house."

"Called multiple times with no response from him? Finally was able to make contact with him and made appointment for him to give me a bid. When he he didn't show up for the appointment I was very disappointed ! Called him back several more times and finally got an answer from him and rescheduled . After he gave me a bid and scheduled an install date he then sent a 18 year old boy to do install?? After door was finished I found several things wrong with it. Large gap on one side of door and door didn't shut right even after adjusting it. Wouldn't recommend or usr again."

"First the bad then the good. 1. This project took almost 4 months. We were told a few weeks. 2. Communication between the office and workers needs a lot of work. 3. The estimates were confusing as were the details in the final bill. 4. Final touches were slow and I eventually finished the painting myself. 5. Lack of job oversight by the owner of this company. The good; 1. The mold/mitigation work was swift and well done. 2. Overall the finished product is good but for the price not perfect. I expected this to be wonderful and while I like it I don't love it. 3. We were so glad when it was done. 4. Love the shower tile and wood look floor tile. 5. Love the shower door but it isn't perfectly even. <br />"

"He did a really great job. It was great. Over the last 5 years I've talked to 5 different contractors, showed them the plans that my architect drew up and these people said, "Oh no you don't want to build that. It's going to be too expensive, so here's what we'll do, here's what we want to build for you." I couldn't find anybody to build these plans and I was just about to give up and somehow I found Lance McCullah Construction, and he lives less than a block and a half from me. So I showed him the plans and he said, "Oh yeah we can do this we do this all the time. We can build this." So I said, "Great! When can we start and how much is it going to cost?" He scheduled me and 2 weeks later his team were over here. They were great, they were professional, they were smart, they did everything right and there was no illegal laborers from the south border showing up. It was a real crew of 2 guys who worked together and they dd a great job. I was amazed. I live in the desert and it's hot as hell here and I've got a patio, a slab out my back yard and there's always been a shade over that patio; a wooden constructed shade. And after 25-30 years finally rotted away sort of fell apart and Lance's boys came in and demolished the old thing and they constructed this patio which my architect had drawn up the plans for. In fact when Lance came over and looked at the job he even suggested improvements on the plan which was completely in accord. He said, "For an extra $100 we can do this and it'll be a lot nicer than what's on the plan." So I said, "Great! Let's do it that way." He was right and it came out great."

"Darren Wilhelm is the owner and contractor. First of all he simply did not want to replace the pipes under this mobile home. Dark, dingy, and cramped damp spidery quarters just are not appealing. After a few days of reflection and the fact I am a Grandma, he came to me and said he would do the job...because he could not find someone he could trust to do the job. He also took a look at the bathroom and agreed the cracked tub had to be replaced. Thus the relationship began. He presented a detailed contract. It was clear and concise and plainly stated that he stands behind his work. What it really meant is that this young father of four with a perfect wife is creative, talented, personable, neat, designer who happens to be a contractor. His work is precise and impeccable. He covered the floors, cleaned up everyday and best of all took care to make sure my Shitzu, Elizabeth Anne did not get out and was safe. I have two adult sons who are developmentally delayed. Darren generously explained what he was doing, chatted with them and accepted them unconditionally. I want to adopt this guy! He has done lots of work for people I know and they all sing his praises. I can't wait for him to remodel my kitchen! He is fair and creative. He won't abandon his client for another job. He doesn't stretch himself so thin the job goes on endlessly. Darren has a way of telling me I'm way off base so expertly I am never offended and after all this work he is right on target. He has style and his best kept secret is he is an excellent craftsman. He can make anything. If you fall in love with something on Pinterest...show him and he can make it! He loves new ideas and challenges. My place is full of both. I would love to show off Darren's expertise and am telling anyone and everyone how wonderful he is. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Wasco, CA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
