"I had two rooms painted, drywall installed under my basement stairs and several light fixtures added/changed. Justin is very professional and the work turned out beautiful. They were able to do the work quickly and were very flexible when I added more work mid-stream. I would definitely use Adam Contracting again."

"We have big plans and thought it would be best to go with one team that could be with us from the planning to design to actual work, all in stages over the next few years. We've just finished our second project with Mason and all from Sino American and I HIGHLY recommend it. I think the biggest thing I can say as to why I suggest you contact Sino American ... we had one bathroom upstairs and worked with Mason to turn it into 2. This was going to be a month and half project with people coming in and out of our house almost every day, leaving only a 3/4 bath in the basement for us to use and almost half the house unusable.... and I was 7 months pregnant with a 1.5 year old. I was DREADING it but I had absolutely nothing to be worried about. Yes, the walking up and down stairs to the basement bathroom was annoying but everything else was so much less of an inconvenience than I thought. The guys were polite, respectful and cleaned up each day. They even let my toddler pretend to help them with his fake drill and screwdriver. It wasn't nearly as noisy or intrusive as I expected and it all turned out amazing! We love our new bathroom remodels and can't wait to move on the phase three of the project with Mason!"

"Great job by Manny’s! This 1 bedroom condo had dirty walls, holes and hadn’t been painted in a decade. Manny gave a reasonable estimate for the job and when it took a little longer and required more paint, he didn’t charge more. Now the condo looks like a modern beauty! Manny communicated by text and email, and he was flexible and accommodated my client’s needs who is out of state. I am a real estate agent and I will recommend Manny’s to all my clients!"

"ACI Design went above and beyond!! We moved on short notice and needed the whole inside of our house painted as well as outside power-washed. They came in and did a fantastic job and finished up early which is unusual in the industry. A few years ago we used ACI to put in flooring for us and again, they did a fabulous job and very timely! The owner, John Ayoub is extremely accommodating and walks you thru the process so there are no surprises. His crew was great and on time every day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!"

"They gave us an estimate on 03/22 and we agreed on 04/04.  They started work on 04/11, with the removal of the existing brick patio and the flower garden,  They poured a concrete base, bringing both these areas to the same height as the sidewalk.  They then built a dry-stack stone enclosure on the front and side of our porch, and installed the square cut flagstone cap on the entire area.  Finally, they built an area of concrete, about four inches wide, to transition from the driveway to the new flagstone area.  This was done in about four days of work, including one day when they had to build a tent-like structure over the work site to shield them from the rain,  The entire crew was courteous, neat, and professional.  We would recommend their service to anyone."

FAQs for greenhouse or conservatorium service projects in Washington, DC

Begin by choosing a build method that fits your timeline—either a ready-to-assemble kit for speed or a custom design for flexibility. Outline your goals, confirm the budget, and hire professionals for any electrical or plumbing work that requires expertise. Next, create detailed plans, select features such as heating, irrigation, and drainage, and choose a sunny, well-drained site. Following these steps puts your greenhouse on solid, efficient footing.

A small kit can be assembled in a weekend; a mid-size or custom build may take several weeks. The timeline depends on site preparation, material lead times, and whether you’re adding extras like electricity or plumbing. Allow time for grading, foundation work, careful assembly, inspections, and potential weather delays to ensure a durable, efficient structure.

Choose a style that matches your space, climate, and budget. Kits offer quick assembly and predictable pricing, while custom builds allow you to tailor the size, materials, and features to your specific needs. Compare options such as hoop houses, A-frames, or geodesic domes, and factor in local snow loads, wind, and sun exposure. A pro can confirm code requirements and recommend the most cost-effective design.

To seamlessly integrate your greenhouse, plan for both function and curb appeal. Position the greenhouse to capture southern light, keep it close to water and power lines, and match the exterior finishes to those of nearby structures. Proper grading, walkways, and surrounding plantings help the new structure feel intentional, rather than tacked on. A hardscaping professional can align materials and elevations to ensure the greenhouse blends seamlessly with your landscape.
