"Exceptional. There were many challenges due to a very small space with some unmovable features (toilet stack), and a chimney in a key wall. The basic layout was original to the (1930s) house and not convenient for modern living. Tim did a total gut and then implemented a layout that maximized the existing space. What had been a cramped and inefficient space now is a beautiful efficient en-suite with a delightful shower and luxurious underheated flooring. Tim maintained clear communication throughout the process. He was patient and courteous when we presented our ideas and helped guide us to best solutions for the space. "Bottom line, Steve's Home Improvements was fantastic, and I would not hesitate to contact them again for additional projects.
I had a standard sized hinged door in my garage that had severe water damage, wood rot in the frame, and the moulding around it. The door was originally hung not level, and not sealed properly, causing the sprinklers nearby to cause the damage before we owned the house. 
I purchased a deal from Angie's List for this company based primarily on the positive reviews on this site. The only part of the experience that I could reasonably expect improvement on was the response time from my initial contact to the evaluation and appraisal, which was 11 days, and from the appraisal to the scheduling call, which was 8 days. That said, it was not a significant issue, and I did not indicate that this job was time sensitive. In addition, when I was called to schedule service, the workers were able to come for the job the same day as the schedule call. That was impressive.
I had to clarify when the workers first arrived that they were providing all materials, I believe there was a miss-communication between the evaluation and work day as to weather or not I had a door already for them to install. Once this was cleared up, everything went amazingly smooth. The workers were at my home for about 3 hours, finished most of the installation, but said they would have to return tomorrow to finish. I agreed, we set a time, and they returned promptly to complete the job. Everything was done wonderfully. Frame, moulding, paint, even the wall texture on the interior where they had damaged to remove the old door was perfect. They confirmed with me before leaving, and I was called by the office with an invoice 4 days later, exactly the amount given on the estimate.
*Side note* A family member who is a lifetime south Florida contractor (retired), was at my home when they were finishing and commented on what a good job they had done with the installation.

"The technicians were on time, communicated well and listen to what I had to say. They gave an Angies list member discount of 10 percent. The initial proposal was to start the job in 2 weeks however they arrived 3 days after the proposal. With a water leak the sooner the better to get started. So KUDOS to Robert Roberts 1st Coast Roofing. The work looks great and should be watertight. If not they have a 3 year guarantee.
