"Work performed without any issues or concerns. Communication was good before, during and after. Because water lines would be visible under the sink, offered to install nicer looking chrome pipes which look great. Nice job overall, I will hire again."

"They cut the wall very carefully to access the pipes and installed an exact replacement unit.  This solved the leaking fixture problem and the frozen vavle in the wall.  We avoided having to re-tile the shower. <br /> Clean-up was very good including covering the hole in the wall and allowing  future access. <br /> Dudah is my go-to plumber for all our plumbing problems. <br /> <br />"

"Centerpoint was at least $500 less then the 4 other plumbers listed. They even gave me a free $75 leak detector that can message my phone if a leak were to be detected. The service was great, the price was great, the scheduling was great."

"Very smooth. They mounted the heater on the ceiling, ran a gas line to it, ran electrical to it, installed on/off wall switch, installed thermostat and ran exhaust venting out the side of the garage. They arrived at 8 AM and were done by early to mid afternoon. Very friendly, nice guys. Great work, we're very happy with the work they did."

"Lucas was prompt and professional. I'd originally asked another company if they could do an annual check-up on our furnace and fireplace, to prepare our home for winter. That company said they only serviced furnaces and not fireplaces. I called Statewide Gas and they said that they could work on both furnaces and fireplaces. I had no problem scheduling the work about 2 weeks in advance. Also, they told me their prices for service - I went with their "Gold" plan that includes maintenance and repair discounts for two gas appliances/objects (i.e. our fireplace and furnace). Lucas called to let me know he was on his way to my home. He arrived in a timely manner. He cleaned both the fireplace and furnace. He turned up the gas pressure on both and checked the motors on both (the fireplace has a fan motor). He told me that my furnace fan might be going out but that it could last for awhile, so no rush or pressure to fix it right away. Lucas showed me how the fan to my fireplace worked (new homeowner still learning about these things) and also how to change the filter in my furnace. He gave me maintenance tips to help both items last longer and demonstrated how to run the air exchanger in my home. He was done in about 2.5 hours. He was efficient and polite. I was pleased with the work he completed and glad to have my furnace and fireplace ready for our cold Minnesota winters! I plan to use this company again next year."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Watkins, MN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
