"I recently completed a six-month project with NRG Remodeling, and I couldn't be more impressed! The renovation of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, and kitchen went smoothly from start to finish. The communication was top-notch, and the team worked quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining very fair pricing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the entire experience was stress-free—much smoother than I anticipated. It's rare to find such a professional and personable team, and I’m already planning my next project with them. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovation and will definitely turn to them for future work!"

"The workmanship was excellent. The anchoring, structure, and trim work was strong, straight and very well made. The tie in to the existing roof was very professional and all seams were sealed. The gutters were designed and constructed to fit perfectly. These gentlemen were courteous and very respectful to me at all times. They commuted with me promptly at all stages of the project. A very pleasant experience."

"We purchased a farm house that had been abandoned since 1998. The house was in total disrepair and was filled with nasty critters. The house had a tiny living room, dining room and kitchen along with 2 and 1/2 bedrooms. The contractor took the walls back to the studs. He removed the walls between the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway creating a wonderful great room. He removed closets and a HUGE pantry making the bedrooms and bathroom into more reasonably sized rooms. An air conditioning system was installed along with a new heating system. When he removed the sheet rock in our mud room he was able to rescue old wood that had been in the prior home. He took that wood and used it for the columns in the great room and as a wainscot in the bathroom and on one side of the island in the kitchen. He replaced the metal roof, installed custom kitchen cabinets, all new windows and exterior doors and painted the house inside and out. His creativity has taken our little farm house from a nasty place to a wonderful home for our family."

"Group of older men from a church in North Texas came and installed new drywall in our small church building.  They couldn't stay long enough to do the tape and float so asked me to find a local contractor and get estimate.  They planned to return and do trim and paint later.  After getting an estimate for the entire job (after drywall was installed), I initially asked contractor to do tape and float job, then added trim and paint job later.  Contractor was responsive in being able to add the second part of the job and began it within two days of completing the initial job.  Overall, they did a good job on both, although had to tell them to add a second coat of wall paint because painter didn't use enough to cover the first time (I had purchased a very good brand of paint - not contractor grade).  Had some minor issues with scheduling various parts of the job at times, but overall everything went well.  Used contractor for several jobs, and final cost of each was exactly what contractor estimated on every job. <br />"

"Had a great experience. The guys were friendly, polite and made sure the jobs were done correctly. An safety issue was found with the ceiling & bracing in the garage while installing attic ladder. Michael made sure it was fixed and no longer presented a hazzard.  Everything looks great. Custom vanities & storage cabinet in bathroom are spectacular!!! Already have them working on a bid to do a 2nd bathroom and plan on using them for small kitchen remodel as well. <br />"

"I was very pleased with Red Fern.  They were attentive to my wishes for the remodel, did good quality work - especially with the trim, were punctual, respectful of our home, stayed within budget and timeframe estimates, and followed-up to make sure I was satisfied with the work.  I would recommend them to friends and plan to hire them again in the future for more remodeling work! <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Weimar, TX

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
