Customers say: Super punctual

"Excellent, high-end craftsman that does the job the right way. No detail was spared from start to finish. Communication was smooth and Dave is a fun person to work with. We reviewed every detail before the contract was signed and got exactly what we were looking for (plus great suggestions from Dave) when the project was completed. My home was cared for and protected when workers were here. The projects couldn’t have turned out any better. If you want high-end results that are completed the best way possible, pick Dave as your general contractor. He is well connected and has the best in the business at his disposal."

Small jobs welcome

"Hired KO to re-plaster my dining room, living room, and front entry way walls and ceiling. Plasterers James and Luke and their team were awesome. They handled the job in 5 days and now the front half of my house looks amazing. When I was getting this quoted by other companies, I thought I was never going to be able to afford the work. But KO came in at an affordable price and did an awesome job! Definitely recommend to any one looking plaster repair work."

"Jeff and his crew were absolutely amazing! In just over 3 months time, he turned our open/empty basement into something that exceeded our expectations. His communication was impeccable throughout the whole process. He was always kind and patient with us. Jeff put any and all of our doubts at ease with his craftsmanship and expertise. Most importantly, he stayed within our budget! I'd recommend Kettle Moraine Kitchen and Bath to everyone I know. We will use him again in the future and suggest that anyone reading my review does the same. He restored my faith in contractors because he's honest and hardworking."

"We needed to have our kitchen living room and first floor half bathroom remodeled. We previously used another company that was terrible but Exact relieved all of our concerns right away with their planning and expertise. Anytime something came up during the process Either Brook, Larry or John (Owner) would immediately solve the issue. Exact plans their contracts to avoid almost all Surprise extra costs by allotting the appropriate funds for required Materials (IE Tile, countertops, ect). They didn’t budget for the cheapest versions like over contractors do than hit you with several change orders. We even received a good credit at the end of the project from not utilizing all those funds. The crew was extremely friendly and courteous the entire time. They would keep me in the loop with the days they would be there and days they wouldn’t be there. I have already recommended them to several friends, Neighbors and plan to utilize them again for our Basement remodel."

"We had a water issue in our basement that had forced us to keep things off of ground level, for fear of them getting ruined. Now we never had inches of standing water, but would have about 80% of our floor covered in a small amount water when ever we had hard rain, or show melted in spring. as it came in through the floor/wall seem around our house and ran to the floor drain in the middle of our basement. Est. build date on our house is 1905, so it is older and never had any drain tile or sump pump, or any other water reduction/prevention applications or installments. We 1st contacted heavily marketed competitor, whose quote ended up being just over double the amount we paid to Accurate, for more or less the same process and product, drain tile, drainage board, and sump pump. After the shock of the quote from the competitor we went online to do some research, instead of just listening to ads. We decided to have Accurate come out after seeing their reviews online, and because we discovered in our research by talking about with family and coworkers, that some of them had used Accurate before and recommended we have them come out at take a look. Frank came out to do out estimate, and I have to say I loved his personality and take on the situation much more than that of the competitors guys who seemed to use a scare tactic we they're first guy and then sent out a 2nd guy with a lower price, etc. Frank was awesome, straight forward, no BS. Signed our estimate quote the day after we got it, which was just under half of what the competitors lower price was. When the crew showed up to work, they were on time and ready to go. They ran into an issue with out lateral, and left that section open, for a plumber to come out and inspect that situation. Other than that, they completed all day 1 tasks on day 1, and were ready to proceed with finishing the job, but were held up for the lateral issue. They were very flexible with this, as plumber had to come out several times to investigate the whole situation. After it was determined they could finish (pour concrete) for the rest of the job but this section by the lateral, they were back out quickly and finished all of that on what would be their 2nd day out. Eventually several weeks later the lateral job was done and the section of drain tile needed to be finished. Accurate came back out on an agreed upon date, reconnected that section drain tile, poured gravel and concrete and were done in about 2 hours time. We were very pleased we Accurate from beginning to end, would use them again in future house if we needed any basement repair like this. Another reason we selected accurate was for their Warranty, which also transferable to new owners if you sell your house. A very important piece for us, as we are hoping to list our home here in the near future, and this basement repair was the last major project before we could proceed with feeling comfortable about listing our house, Hasn't been very long since the whole job was completed, but has been awhile since about 95% of the job was completed on day 1. And we are very happy to report, we have not seen any water in our basement at all. There is water in the sump pump crock, but it is super quite and we've never heard it unless we are near it in our basement as it is going off. Give them a call/email. You wont regret it!"

"We scheduled an appointment and they were on time and were professional. They listened to my ideas and measured the basement. Before they came out they provided me a booklet with the materials they use and how their design is different than others. The scheduling process was simple and quick. Now with that said the reason I give them a C overall is because of their price. The price they quoted me for 1100 square feet with a standard remodel no custom things was twice as expensive as the other companies that quoted me on my space. The cost was in the range of 75-80K. That is almost the price of building a new home. I was disappointed at the fact that they thought that’s was a fair price. Others quoted me between 35-40K."

"Working with Jeff was a pleasure--he is friendly, professional and really knows construction. We felt very comfortable having him and his subcontractors working in our home. Right from the start, Jeff listened to what we wanted to accomplish with our basement with a and quot;can doand quot; attitude and offered suggestions to save costs. His estimate to complete the work was well below what other contractors had bid. We were able to purchase the bath fixtures ourselves, as well as purchase and install the flooring, which saved us a lot of money. Jeff was very flexible in letting us make minor changes to the plans as we went along. He was on the job every morning and worked all day long framing in walls, drywalling, painting, woodworking, installing the ceiling and overseeing the plumbing and electrical work--keeping us well informed of what was being done every day. He was very detail oriented and took care of getting all of the building inspections completed on time. Our building inspector even commented to us on the nice work Jeff and his workers were doing. Work areas were cleaned up every day and there was very little inconvenience to us as the work was being completed. <br /> We are so happy with the finished area--it's such a pleasure to have a nice space for using our treadmill, watching TV, working on sewing projects--and a place for our grandkids to enjoy as well. And having a beautiful bathroom on the lower level is really a luxury! The storage area is organized and spacious and concealed behind a lovely double door. I would say that the finished area exceeds what we originally had in mind for space and quality of workmanship. As a favor to us, Jeff even fixed our back door which never closed properly in all of the 13 years we have lived in this house--THANK YOU, JEFF!! We will definitely recommend Dynamic Renovations. <br />"

"I'm not sure that I'd consider them for a larger basement remodel if they can't help me with a smaller job of having the basement egress window installed.  Seems like a bit of a foul ball to me. <br />"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in West Bend, WI

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
