"I contacted Chesapeake Roofing, Windows, and Siding about installing a new roof on my townhouse. The estimate I received was actually over $1,000 LESS than what my neighbors paid last year to have their roofs replaced by another local company. I signed the contact but was contacted by my HOA board shortly thereafter who said I needed to change the type of shingle I had put in my contact as it was not the approved shingle type for our community. Chesapeake Roofing, Windows, and Siding told me it was no problem to change the shingle type and quickly drafted me up a new contact to sign. Domenic and Kurt also kept me well informed about when my new roof would be installed as the original date had to be pushed back a few days due to rain. Domenic and his crew cleaned up very well after the roof was installed - my neighbor also told me she was impressed how well they cleaned up. There was a minor issue with some gunk from the gutters that was left on my neighbors siding, however, Kurt responded immediately when I called about this and the debris was power washed clean the next day. I would definitely recommend Chesapeake, Roofing, and Siding to anyone looking to have a new roof installed based on my positive experience!"

"In the process, I learned that an airflow in the attic from the eaves to the roof ridge is the modern way. This system replaces attic fans. The new system requires venting near the eaves (soffits) and of course the roof ridge vent. My 1957 home did not have any soffits. Some roofing companies did not include this in their estimates. Arocon did include a lower venting system (not soffitts but the same idea) in their bid. They installed a mid-roof vent rather than venting near the eaves as my home has a roof overhang. All went well but about 20% of the pine boards (not 4 x 8 plywood) required replacing. The roofer took pictures with his cell phone and at least I had that visibility of the project."

With the covers we havent had to clean the gutters either. A 5 year inspection shows no water damage on the inside. Plus the house stands out on the street compared to other grey shingled roofs. This year we had windows replace in half of our home and they look pretty great. "We chose James L. Graves after getting 3 bids. They were the middle bid. We had a special request to change our soffits in addition to replacing the roof and gutters for maximum roof ventilation. The Salesman, Bryan was very accommodating with this request since most companies do not normally deal with aluminum soffit material but they were willing to work with us and get us what we requested. The roofers did a really good job. No mess. Bryan came by about 5 times during the install which took 2 days for our house. Gutter and soffit replacement went well also."
