"We were pointed in the direction of Perry Bros by multiple people who had hired them for home renovation projects in the past. We had done several smaller projects "DIY" but when it came to knocking down several walls to renovate our kitchen, we knew we wanted to hire trusted professionals. We had looked at 2 other contractors before deciding to proceed with Perry Bros. Every member of the crew was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. We lived in the house during construction and the crew did a great job keeping the work area clean after each day of work. "Take home message: Joe DaSilva from SILMAC Construction is a reliable contractor who produces a great result and is easy to work with. We purchased an older home this summer and worked with SILMAC on a major renovation including full kitchen and 1.5 bathroom renovations, as well as updates, structural work and repairs throughout the home. Joe has been responsive from the start and worked with us on our timeline, starting work as soon as we purchased the home. We are now on week 16 of SILMAC's quoted 8 week turnaround time, but this is largely due to change orders we have made as we learned more about the home. Joe has brought in a talented team to do the work. Joe is knowledgeable and has good advice, and is willing to discuss and price out different scenarios for you before you make a decision about what to move forward with. He was an excellent resource when considering multiple options and saying "we can do it, but I don't think it's worth it for you." This really helped us stay on budget! Overall, our new home is completely transformed and we are very happy with the result. Communication has been by phone, text and email, which overall has worked well for us, but occasionally things have been miscommunicated or misunderstood. Just general advice for any construction project, keep in mind that your contractor is busy and to make your expectations clear, send reminders and document decisions. Overall, Joe was very reliable and easy to talk to and clarified anything we asked about. Everyone on his crew was very nice to work with, but specifically we wanted to mention Antonio, who may be one of the nicest people we've ever worked with! Joe's billing process was clear, transparent and if he left anything out or if we requested clarification or corrections, they were worked out quickly. We have completed several renovations in a smaller home with different contractors over the years, and this overall experience with SILMAC was better than any of our other renovations. We would work with SILMAC again and have already started discussing work that we hope to do sometime in 2020/2021. We are working through our punch list right now and will update this post or add another review if anything changes from what we've written here."

"As a testament to how happy we were with our first renovation provided by the Curtice Group in 2021, which provided completely new kitchen/dining/mudroom/bath, we hired Scott and his team again in 2024-25 for another major renovation. This job was composed of 3 main parts: a gut remodel of our main bathroom, renovation of a large attic space (about 700 sq ft), and whole-home conversion from steam radiators (gas) to heat pumps including removal of all radiators and a chimney. The bathroom now is attractive and more functional, the attic adds a large amount of useful space as an office/kid room/guest area, and central air makes a more comfortable climate. I’m a big fan of the design/build concept, because you really don’t want to separate those two elements into different contractors, and if you find a talented company, they can handle all aspects of the job fluidly. Scott Curtice has a real knack for design, he is attentive and cares about details, and he will perform carpentry and touch-up work as needed. Moreover, he handled all the project coordination so that we could do the jobs that we do well, which do not include home renovation."

"We are so thrilled that we chose Joe and Jonathan from Home Pro Services for such a major home construction project! We had TWO bathrooms that were circa 1980s in our home and BOTH needed a gutting renovation. We had solicited several quotes, but Joe and Jonathan of Home Pro Services came as a personal recommendation from a friend, and we had already seen the beautiful work they had done. Home Pro's prices seemed lower/in line with market prices. We needed gutting of the existing spaces, some revision of electrical and plumbing, installation of walls, ceiling, floors, fans, tile work, fixtures. Joe made himself incredibly available. He is pleasant to work with. He is very responsive! He is highly attentive to details. He dispelled all of our myths of "the absent contractor". Instead, he updated us regularly with progress, by email and text, and we saw him nearly daily. Through these communications he helped us make intelligent decisions about the project. As expected there were some unforeseen construction issues having to do with water damage etc. we faced along the way, but Joe helped us address these in a fair and equitable way. We also appreciated, given the timing of our project which was during the COVID outbreak, that he did not bring large teams of people into our home. The plumbers, electricians and painters he referred for our project were also highly qualified and respectful. The quality of Home Pro services by far exceeded our expectations! "Three terms you don't hear when speaking about contractors : Honesty, timely and effecient and pride of Workmanship. If you use Liam Neary Construction you will be using these terms and smiling as you tell others about your amazing experience. I had a leak in my roof with water coming in through the chimney. The water came into the utilitiy room creating a mini swimming pool and the hot water tank shut down. Liam came out within an hour of my phone call got my water running showed me how to clean the sensor for the future and reset the hot water tank. He scheduled to come out later that day to replace flashing on the roof to hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it was not the full resolution. In the next rainstorm, I got water in the chimney again and reached out to Liam. This time it was a saturday and was thinking I might see him at the start of the work week or need to pay crazy money just to get him to show up. This was not my experience he showed up in 2 hours reviewed what he had done and come up with a new solution. He determined that the chimney needed some additional work and adjusted the price because of the original work that he had done correctly, but did not solve the problem completely. This contractor is the real deal. If you have a problem give him a call today. He will make your life easier and resolve your problems quickly. For the job done right call Liam Neary."

"Sanfer was the general contractor and worked on the project diligently. He was very responsive throughout the project. Painting and plastering was outsourced to a sub contractor. However, Sanfer’s crew worked on remodeling the kitchen and bathroom. There were some delays as we made changes in scope of the work. Overall, I was happy with their work."
