"When we purchased our home in 2006, the kitchen was in MAJOR need of updating. We were recommended to Alessandra Custom Cabinets through a friend and contacted them immediately. The owner, Pete, was able to come over just days after we moved in to give us his opinion, as well as an extremely fair estimate for the job. Within just weeks, our kitchen was transformed from an over-the-top-faux painted design to a rich, cherry wood LUXE custom kitchen. Highly functional, soft-close drawers and doors were surrounded by GORGEOUS crown moldings, which made for an absolute stunner. The detail and craftsmanship from Alessandra were undoubtedly superb. We loved the work from Alessandra so much that when we decided to transform our ranch to a 2-story colonial we called them back to work again. We changed the look from cherry to a white shaker style to flow with our new open concept layout. Needless to say, once again the detail and design are beautiful. The custom hood range hood cover compliments the area tremendously. They were even able to re-use some of the older cabinets in a service area of our new home. Alessandra also built new cabinets for our wine room, our wet bar, and a 13x13 master closet. They also crafted an amazing coffered ceiling in our dining room, which catches everyone’s eye upon entering our home. Their team of carpenters are friendly and hard-working, as well as meticulous and efficient. To say we are pleased with Alessandra Custom Cabinets is an understatement. Like many people, the pandemic caused us to rethink our priorities and reflect on how we wanted to spend time as a family. Working with Pool Boss to construct our pool was the best decision. Chris was patient and answered all of our questions about the construction process, permits, design, etc. Our project manager, Joanna, was very responsive and handled all the twists and turns of scheduling the various steps of the build. The plumbers, electricians, designers, and masons were kind and professional. Building a pool is a big investment and a major construction project. If you decide to embark on the pool building journey, I'd trust no other company than Pool Boss with the work. We are excited to make some memories in our new backyard oasis!"

"We were referred to Pepe Paving by friends of ours who had just used them and were very happy. Since our friend has high standards and a good eye, we soon after called Pepe Paving for a quote. Maurizio of Pepe Paving redid our patio and created our new retaining wall, replacing our crumbling brick patio and retaining wall bordering it, and removing an undefined buried heap of junk on the corner of our property left by the previous owners (old pipes, fences and other construction debris). The quote he gave us was very reasonable and he was prompt, helpful and professional. He responded to questions within 24-48 hour period. And when the job required more work than initially anticipated (due to 2 hidden layers of cement patio under our original brick patio), he didn’t upcharge us and still managed to finish on time. The final patio and retaining wall far exceeded our expectations. The patio has elevated the look of our house and created a great place for entertaining. Maurizio is a pleasure to work with and graciously answered questions when our neighbors stopped by to see what was going on- they were impressed. We would definitely go with Pepe Paving again if I had any further projects of this nature. I wish more contractors were this good."

"The house renovation was in full swing for several months during one of the worst winters northern NJ had seen in some time.  We had major snowstorms and major cold weather.  If we had the driveway plowed the Home Group was there working.  The contractor was at the house almost daily for a couple months.  Having worked with the contractor on other projects previously we gave them full access to the house.  I cannot emphasize enough how trustworthy this contractor is and how reliable.  Another quality I would like to mention is the meticulous attention to detail.  I have a 5-page list of all the work that we did on the house, here are some of the tasks:  replace double front door with a fiberglass door (this door looks great and is well insulated - love it); replace two sets of sliding glass doors with French doors; install five new skylights (these were replacements for plastic skylights); replace parts of cedar siding on house; re-do kitchen with all new sheet rock to cover exposed beams, install new kitchen cabinets; teardown of master  bathroom - new shower, new cabinetry and fixtures; create new attic closets (doors and sheetrock) on 2nd and 3rd floors; install four sets of double closet doors in bedrooms; install two double kitchen pantry closets with shelving; install closet organizer in bedroom closets and in three linen closets; install new molding throughout; and many other tasks.  I was also able to use other specialities (electrician, tile, glass, etc.) that Home Group referred.  Jon Earl, the owner, came up with great suggestions when I was at a loss for how to proceed.  For example, we were replacing a 26-year old cook top that fit just right into the granite counter top.  No manufacturer makes a cook top to fit that size opening any more.  The appliance salesperson was completely stumped - he looked at every brand available and had no idea what to do.  It was getting to the point where I was going to have to buy something larger and then have the granite cut.  Mr. Earl found a solution for me - a vendor that sells inserts to fit appliances in just such a case.  It was a huge savings and I could buy a conventional cooktop and fit it to the existing opening.  We moved into our newly remodeled house in the time frame that we expected and were very pleased with the results. <br />"

"After deciding on revamping the perimeter of our home, we called in five different landscaping companies to come and assess and quote the job.  Tim was one of the five, and after he left my husband and I had the same feeling - this is our guy.  Tim and his crew were worth waiting for.  He was in the middle of a large job before he started ours, and he was in constant contact with us about a start date.  Once we had that nailed down, they started the work  - and we are now complete.  It looks like a new property!  Although he did have to have other folks come in for the driveway and fencing, he brought in all - stars!  He was always in contact with us for their ETA, and delays if need be.   <br /> All of my neighbors were also impressed, not just with the quality of the work - but the fact that Tim & Crew and clean, neat and respectful of where they are working.  We never came home to anything other than the demolition that we were having done.  If there was a sign advertising the company that was working on the property - I am sure TPC would have been answering calls from the neighborhood.   <br /> Tim and his guys are a class act, and I'd be happy to bring them back for any future projects!  Thanks Tim!!! <br />"

"Abby of Design Ants did a great job. Our project involved completely gutting and remodeling two existing bathrooms in an old Victorian era house. Abby did the design and oversaw the project form beginning to end. Her design made excellent use of space and we ended up with two storage spaces in each bathroom that did not exist before. She worked with us on picking out fixtures and picking out paint colors. She worked with our construction company to keep everything true to her design and on schedule. Her fee was very reasonable and she was able to pass along discounts on fixtures. She is a dream to work with - knowledgeable, easygoing , personable, creative, reliable, professional, etc. and she has an extremely good eye for color. I HIGHLY recommend Design Ants"
