"Perfect Screen Repair perfectly describes the work that was done. The patio (lanai) screen had fallen down, and I needed a brand new screen to replace it. I cannot thank Jean enough for the outstanding installation that he provided. Truly, I am so very happy with the job he did that I could cry! Jean is prompt, very thorough, and knowledgeable. Plus, I know that this screen will last for years. Jean is competent, capable, honest, and an outstanding worker. He deserves 10 (ten) gold stars!!! ...highly, highly, highly recommend"

"M3 Windows and Doors was excellent in every way. They installed a hurricane impact front door and it all went so smoothly. Phil Peterson, Operations Manager, did the initial consultation. He was very responsive, and very patient and helpful when I had trouble deciding! All my questions were answered promptly. Everyone showed up when they said they would. The installation guys were great as well, very meticulous and professional When the inspector came he said it was a "great install." I can't recommend M3 Windows and Doors highly enough."

"Cedric was terrific! My doors look like new. Hard worker and did the job like it was his house. When we ran into a mechanical issue with the wrong door handles that I purchased- he stayed extra time till we could solve it together, with no extra charge to me. Was flexible on which day to come based on the weather for this outdoors job."

"I was super happy with ABC Screens. One of the best experiences I've had with a home improvement/maintenance contractor in the 14 years owning a duplex, having spent well into 6 figures over that time on work and materials. ! I like to do why reviews a few months later since unexpected issues can arise, and you want to know how well they're handled. Everything went well. Their communication was clear, service fast and good quality, good window screen materials (no tears, sturdy but light, keeps the no-see-em midge flies out as well as mosquitoes and more), price reasonable . I reached out for a bid because my front door screen was bent, out of shape, had gaps for bugs to get it, and didn't always close well. I had similar issue with a rental unit front screen door. They were able to fix them without much repair nor any replacement. Saved me a money, so I trusted them. So I gave them opportunity to quote to replace all my window screens since I appreciated their time and honesty and was within a year or so of replacing them, as 1-2 screens were missing, 1 had a problem that could let a clever bug in, and all were old style that can't block the smaller bugs. Their quote was reasonable, and they could install about as soon as I was ready. I'll definitely call them to replace my rental unit's window screens when the time comes."

"We had all our windows and doors replaced by BNT. While the PGT product is excellent, our overall experience with BNT was average at best, especially when I realized that their Angie’s List coupon was misleading. Notice the coupon states “Windows” in bold letters leading one to believe it’s a heading and not part of the coupon. The next line states “5% Off For Angie’s List Members”. Make sure you understand that the 5% off is ONLY ON WINDOWS (not doors or any other non-window product) which is usually the cheapest part of the order. When I disputed the misinterpretation with the sales guy and asked if they would change the wording to something like “5% Off Windows For Angie’s List Members” he assured me they would look into it – as of this review it hasn’t changed. Also, pay close attention to what’s written in the contract and try to detail your expectations clearly. There may be other potential (and deliberate) “misinterpretations” which could lead you to believe something else such as when payments are due. As far as their post installation service, one of the installed windows was ordered with an opening to the wrong side. I was told it had been ordered and 4-5 weeks later when they came out to fix several other installation issues, it had not been ordered at all. They then had to place a “second” order for the window and had to wait another 4-5 weeks. BTW, make sure you pay close attention during installation – the installers are sloppy and will try to perform the job as quickly as possible."

"This is the second time I have used Jupiter Screen Repair. The first was to repair a couple of panels and this time was a total rescreen. The price was very reasonable. Everyone I have encountered from this business is polite, professional and courteous. The work performed was perfect. My enclosure looks like new. They also clean everything up after they are done. I highly recommend them."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in West Palm Beach, FL

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
