"I reached out on Sunday evening and received a response from Mattra early Monday morning. John Craft was patient with all of my questions and concerns. He had an immediate opening the following morning to perform testing for mold. Very quick, polite and professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Their pricing was outstanding, several hundred dollars less than a few other companies I had reached out to. Test results came back in 24 hours within a detailed report."

"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"The report was very professional and detailed. The response was fast. The price was expensive but due to the detail, understandable. I wouldn't hire again due to multiple requests for a completed report and estimate for the mold remediation and just getting robotic replies that didn't answer my questions."

"They arrived on time, where efficient in getting all rugs cleaned.  There was a mix up on what was quoted at the time the appointment was made to what they told my daughter upon arrival.  A quick phone call to the office and all was straightened out. Office staff are very attentive and follow thru with what they tell you they are going to do. <br />"

"He did a pretty thorough inspection of the premises, pointing out areas of concern as he saw them. he answered our questions as we went along. Bob is very professional and easy to talk to. His report was very detailed from attic to basement and will be a great guideline for us to get somethings taken care of. I also liked that his reports stated Maine State laws for different things like smoke detectors, for example. we had a very good experience and will recommend him to others. <br />"

"The owner helped us with understanding this new ionizer technology and had to be contacted again about placing them in a better place in the HVAC system to increase ion output into the living space.  The ionizers are a bit pricey for such small units.  They help to kill germs in the home and remove new house construction VOCS, but we were disappointed that they did not remove all of the fumes. One email was not returned, but overall we had a good experience."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in West Paris, ME

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
