"Lou and his team exceeded my expectations. I own a two family rental property. The former 2nd floor tenants caused much water damage to the bathroom. Mold, rotting floor and subfloor. The bathroom needed to be totally gutted floor to ceiling including plumbing and wiring, removing claw foot bathtub and replacing it with a walk in shower, replacing toilet and vanity. The highly regarded builder that I spoke with basically talked me out of using him, and into a Kloter Farms garage. He said, "I'm not one to turn down work but... Their buildings are really nice."  Because I trust his judgement, I drove out to Ellington to look at their selection, and I am so glad I did. <br><br>I wish I could give them something higher than an A. Not only is my new garage extremely well-built, but every single person I met with was friendly, professional, and knowledgable. I worked with two different salesmen. Neither of them tried to up-sell me on anything; they were patient and helpful. The delivery date was settled and they were right on time. The delivery was seamless. They were able to order siding that matched my house, and the price for doing so was extremely fair.<br><br>When I was in the store picking out the features for my garage, after I finished and was paying the check, the sales rep mentioned that he is always impressed when "wives" come in and make the decisions. "Having had bad experiences with contractors in the past, we were very fussy and interviewed a number of contractors. My husband and I chose Haydenville Woodworking & Design to build our new addition which included adding a downstairs bedroom complete with accessible bathroom and walk in closet. The workers were courteous, neat and very thorough. Their work was excellent. We really appreciated Zinnia Stetson, one of the owners ,who worked with us, making sure we were informed of what and when to expect things to be completed. Although not an easy task and the reason we hired a contractor, Zinnia kept her crew and various subcontractors on task. She was great to work with. I even referred her to my best friend and neighbor, who needed some renovation work. Zinnia totally changed our opinion of contractors"

"Project went well and the price was great. Rene and his crew did an awesome job and cleaned up after each day's work. They were professional, polite and worked their tails off. Rene offered suggestions and options to get the look we wanted for our house, it was quite a transition and I have had many, many compliments on it. I really wish I could add before and after photos but can't figure out how. Several months after the project had been completed and we caused some damage, I called Rene for help. He called me right back and was over to fix it that week. If I have any kind of project in the future I will call him and I recommend him whenever I can."

"For months we tried to find a contractor in the area who does superb work for a fair price. As most of us know, this is VERY difficult to do! Fortunately we found Doug Fuller through word of mouth, and we're very grateful to have done so. He met with us several times as we planned and priced the project - he was very patient as we sorted through what we wanted and what we could afford. He was prompt, dependable, and we ended up with exactly what we wanted for a very fair price. Once he started building, he told me that they would be on site each day following until the project was done. Although it sounded too good to be true, he did in fact follow through with that promise. He never made us wait for him to bounce between jobs. The entire project was completed in the time frame that he promised, at the price he promised (plus a few add-ons that we put in during the construction). The five members of his crew were always prompt and courteous, and maintained a clean and safe worksite. We also found all of his subs (plumber, electrician, heating/cooling) to be prompt, courteous and expert. We truly enjoyed getting to know his team. Finish carpentry is at a premium in our area, and I'm so grateful for Scott, who does the finish work for Fuller Construction. Scott is a master carpenter who does superb detail work. The finish work that he did for our trim and our built-in bookshelf is excellent - we couldn't be happier. If you have need for finish work - he's your guy. Overall a great experience - we will use Fuller Construction again, and recommend them highly!"

"I contacted Home Facelifters to remove a small concrete barrier from my garage, to repair the porch at the end of my house that was developing cracks and holes around the foundation, and to perform a couple of handyman tasks (replace a doorknob and replace smoke detectors). Joe replied to my inquiry and came out to give me an estimate within a couple of days of when I contacted him. When he and his crew started working on the porch repair they found that the problems were much more extensive than originally anticipated. The porch was actually pulling away from the house, and as the crew started to work on the porch they found a couple of large cracks running the length of the foundation under the floor of the porch, making it unsafe. It was clear to all of us that the porch would have to be replaced. Joe quickly came up with some estimates and found a solution to retain the roof over one end of the porch. He proposed replacing the porch with a new deck. The crew supported the roof on the side of the porch and removed the underlying porch and the concrete slabs. They dug holes for new piers and footing and poured concrete. It was also discovered there was some old (not active) termite damage on the lower side of the house where the new deck would be attached (this was damage that was treated when I bought the house 16 years ago so it was no longer active but the bottom portion of part of that side of the house had to be repaired and reshingled). During the entire process Joe was great about communicating the latest set-back and keeping me up to date on additional expenses. In the end the crew built a beautiful new deck with railings up to code. The job was much more complicated than what I originally anticipated and ended up being more expensive but was necessary. I may have been able to get the work done elsewhere for slightly less money but I do not know that I would have received the same quality craftsmanship. Joe and his assistant were great to work with throughout the process. They communicated clearly about when they were going to show up and about the progress of the work. They worked long days, often after dark, in freezing cold weather but finished most of the work as quickly as possible. There are still a couple of things left to be done (painting and building stairs to the deck) but those things have to wait until warmer weather. This is the second time I have used Home Facelifters for a major project at my home, and I highly recommend them."
